Novels, manga, artbooks, comics, reference books, and the final phase of The High Republic round out the publishing panel announcements at this year’s Star Wars Celebration Japan.

From pre-show reveals to manga mania, Star Wars publishing has more news coming out of Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025 than a floating Coruscanti ad board! And after today’s “Lucasfilm Publishing: Stories from a Galaxy Far, Far Away ….” panel, we have the very latest news!

Authors Adam Christopher (Star Wars: Shadow of the Sith), Tessa Gratton (Star Wars: The High Republic: Temptation of the Force), Marc Guggenheim (Star Wars: Han Solo & Chewbacca), Lydia Kang (Star Wars: The High Republic: Cataclysm), Ethan Sacks (Star Wars: Bounty Hunters), Phil Szostak (The Art of Star Wars: The Mandalorian), Alyssa Wong (Star Wars: Doctor Aphra), Dr. Chris Kempshall (The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire), and Marvel’s editor-in-chief C.B. Cebulski joined host Maggie Lovitt to talk everything from the prequels to the sequels and beyond.

With a special emphasis on the conclusion of The High Republic publishing initiative, read on for everything we know about the exciting stories coming your way:

Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures Phase III – The Battle of Eriadu cover.

1. Soon you can join the fight with Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures Phase III – The Battle of Eriadu.

Award-winning writer Alyssa Wong (Doctor Aphra) returns to The High Republic Adventures with a new Phase III story featuring Jedi Padawan Gavi and his friend-turned-enemy Driggit Parse. The one-shot plays a key role in the battle to come.

2. Phase III concludes with Star Wars: The High Republic: Trials of the Jedi.

We can’t believe this four-year journey is almost at an end! To help fans prepare for the epic conclusion of The High Republic initiative, here’s a look at the back cover of Charles Soule’s final novel, featuring some of our favorite Jedi heroes — and Ember, of course!

3. The last piece of the Phase III puzzle can be found in Star Wars: The High Republic – Fear of the Jedi.

Cavan Scott returns for the final arc of The High Republic with this explosive miniseries, which will conclude with a special finale one-shot issue, The Beacon!

4. Enjoy more Jecki and Yord in Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Crystal Crown.

Just when we thought we’d seen the last of Jecki Lon and Yord Fandar, Tessa Gratton brings us a new young-adult novel featuring three of our favorite Acolyte characters. The brand-new tale, set before the events of the series and also including Master Sol, is available July 29, 2025.

5. Join the rebellion with The Art of Star Wars: Andor (The Complete Series).

Lucasfilm’s Phil Szostak brings us yet another gorgeous art book, this time fully immersing fans in the complex, dangerous, and rebellious world of the acclaimed Disney+ series, Andor. The fully comprehensive coffee table book, covering both Season 1 and Season 2, will be available March 2026.

7. Happy beeps! Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories: Codebreaker sees Poe and BB-8 back in action.

This four-issue comic by Ethan Sacks (Star Wars: Bounty Hunters) arrives just in time for the 10-year anniversary of Star Wars: The Force Awakens later this year. Pick it up this April.

8. Kylo Ren seeks to finish what his grandfather started in Star Wars: Legacy of Vader.

New covers were revealed for the ongoing series by Charles Soule – which takes place between the events of Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker – along with concept art of Tava Ren, the new leader of the Knights of Ren. See Kylo face down Tava, an Order 66 survivor, and much more in upcoming issues.

9. Ahmed Best’s character from The Mandalorian is set to join the Jedi team-up series, Star Wars: Jedi Knights.

Kelleran Beq will be featured in issue 8 of Marvel’s newest series, Star Wars: Jedi Knights, featuring some of the galaxy’s most familiar (and maybe not so familiar) guardians of peace and justice. Look for it in October.

Today’s “Lucasfilm Publishing: Manga Mania!” panel delivered on its promise of all-new announcements and reveals. Hosted by Clayton Sandell (co-author of Star Wars: Timelines and more), reveals included a look back at Star Wars manga history, some first-time manga adaptations, and continuing manga stories from The High Republic era.

Sandell was joined by Marvel’s editor-in-chief C.B. Cebulski (Star Wars: Visions Treasury Edition) and fellow panelists Kenny Ruiz (Star Wars: Path of the Lightsaber), Shima Shinya (Star Wars: The High Republic: The Edge of Balance), Buse Alan (manga director at Sideranch), sak and Hazama Tukuru (from Mangado), and Man Tsang (from Quire Ltd.).

10. We got a first look at the special artbook release of Star Wars: A New Hope Manga.

Hisao Tamaki’s original manga retelling of Star Wars: A New Hope is getting the artbook treatment in 2026 with The Art of Star Wars: A New Hope Manga from Dark Horse. Featuring original scanned art boards, including margin notes, drawings, and the original Japanese text, this unique tribute is also hitting Kickstarter with two distinct editions: the two-volume Collector’s Edition with new English translation and the large-format Masterpiece Edition.
