The newly elected chairman of Pantora, Chairman Papanoida, is caught in a deadly political game. The Trade Federation has blockaded his planet, and stopped all commerce with the system. Isolated from the rest of the Republic, the people of Pantora are beginning to rally against the Senate who have seemed unsympathetic to their plight. To make matters worse Count Dooku has come forward offering aid if Pantora joins the Separatist Alliance.
-
Chairman Papanoida has dispatched Senator Riyo Chuchi to Coruscant with the hope that she can persuade the Senate to act in favor of Pantora before Lott Dodd can legitimize the blockade.
-
Lott Dodd explains that until Pantora pays their outstanding debts to the Trade Federation, they cannot resume commerce in the system. Senator Chuchi accuses Dodd of lying, stating that it's well known that the Trade Federation is aligned with the Separatists. Dodd reminds the Senate that the Trade Federation is neutral. Senator Chuchi pleads with the Senate.
-
Senator Amidala catches up with Chuchi in the Senate hallway to commend her on her speech. Chuchi says the Trade Federation doesn't frighten her. Amidala reminds her that there are many in the Senate who support her and Pantora, and to not take aid from the Separatists. Chuchi says Pantora will always be loyal to the Republic.
-
Senator Chuchi briefs Chairman Papanoida who has arrived with his two daughters Chi Eekway, Che Amanwe and son Ion. Chi and Che head home, while Ion stays with Papanoida to discuss the Trade blockade further with Chuchi.
-
Ion says that things are far worse on Pantora than they were led to believe. Chuchi says though they need more time, she's certain that the Senate will vote in their favor.
-
Chi and Che return home and are attacked by unknown assailants. Che defends herself, using a nearby Pantoran ornament with a club. Later, Ahsoka rushes up to Anakin and Padmé to inform them that someone has kidnapped Papanoida's daughters. Anakin says the Jedi can't get involved and it's a job for the police. Ahsoka offers to help on her own time.
-
Count Dooku sends a holographic message to Ion and offers the Separatists help in finding his sisters. Senator Chuchi introduces Ion and Chairman Papanoida to Ahsoka, who also offers to help. She says Senator Amidala thinks the kidnapping might have something to do with the Separatists. Ion thinks it's become a hostage situation to bully Pantora into joining the Separatists.
-
Ahsoka suggests that if the Separatists are involved, then Papanoida's daughters are most likely to be held on the Trade Federation blockade ship. Papanoida advises that Ahsoka and Senator Chuchi pay them a diplomatic visit while he and Ion follow the police investigation.
-
Police Inspector Lt. Tan Divo tells Chairman Papanoida and Ion that they conducted an extensive sweep of the apartment and saw no evidence of foul play. Ion and Papanoida search the apartment themselves for clues and find one -- a misplaced statue of the moon goddess with blood smears. Papanoida matches the blood sample with that of known Rodian criminal: Greedo.
-
Senator Chuchi arrives at the Trade Federation ship under the guise of a diplomatic mission, with Ahsoka pretending to be her servant.
-
Meanwhile Papanoida and Ion travel to Tatooine to track down Greedo. They go to Jabba the Hutt's Palace to find out more information on who's behind hiring Greedo for the kidnapping. Papanoida asks around the patrons to see if they know how he can get a hold of Greedo.
-
On the Trade Federation ship, Chuchi and Ahsoka sneak into the ambassador's office and overhear Lott Dodd and Sib Canay talking about the kidnapping of Papanoida's daughters.
-
Chuchi and Ahsoka go to the detention block to look for Papanoida's daughters. Ahsoka uses a Jedi mind trick on a guard so they may pass undetected. Walking down the detention block, Chuchi and Ahsoka are overheard and detected by Sib Canay.
-
On Tatooine, Greedo is told some Pantorans are asking about him. Greedo finds Papanoida and holds him at gunpoint. Papanoida fights back, grabs Greedo, and brings evidence of the blood-stained statue to Jabba the Hutt as proof of Greedo's involvement.
-
Greedo admits kidnapping Papanoida's daughters on behalf of the Separatists. He tells Papanoida that one of his daughters is being kept at Mos Eisley. He takes them to the location where Che is being held hostage.
-
At the cantina, Greedo tells his fellow kidnapper that Che needs to be moved under Nute Gunray's orders. His accomplice suspects something is awry. When Chi is brought out, gunfire erupts in the bar among Ion, Papanoida and the kidnappers. Papanoida and his family win the gunfight, and Che is saved.
-
Chuchi and Ahsoka find Chi, only to discover the sisters were separated. Sib Canay intercepts them with a squad of battle droids, but Ahsoka cuts them down. Chuchi accuses the Trade Federation officials of war profiteering and demands that the blockade be ended.
-
Back at the Senate, Papanoida's family is back together again. Lott Dodd blames Sib Canay entirely for the kidnapping of Papanoida's daughters, declaring him to be a Separatist extremist, unconnected to the Trade Federation. Dodd says they will remove the blockade and reopen trade with the Pantorans.
