The Remora arrives over the planet of Balmorra, an isolated Imperial outpost housing clone prisoners, and Echo and his new squad swiftly take out the hyperdrive on an Imperial cruiser on a rescue mission.
-
Using a leech vessel — a small, breakaway pod attached to the Remora's side — the clones Echo, Nemec, and Fireball board the vessel while Captain Pearce orders his soldiers to erase the ship's databanks.
-
Exchanging fire with stormtroopers as they make their way to the holding cells, the clones recover Howzer and other imprisoned clones while Echo and Nemec take the bridge. Pearce throws up his hands in surrender, but refuses to answer the clone's questions, biting down on an electro capsule to evade capture by the enemy forces.
-
As reinforcements arrive, Gregor launches the Remora, the leech ship trailing behind. Once the two parts of the vessel have docked, they make the jump to hyperspace, narrowly avoiding a swarm of enemy V-wings.
-
In a cell block inside Mount Tantiss, Doctor Hemlock meets with Crosshair. The Empire seeks intel on Clone Force 99, and is willing to grant Crosshair his freedom in exchange for leading the Imperials to Omega and his old squad. "I don't know where they are," Crosshair tells him. Soon, an IT-O interrogator droid floats into the room to help urge him to provide a lead.
-
Back on Coruscant, Howzer meets with Echo and Senator Riyo Chuchi inside the Martez sisters' garage on Level 1313. The recovered data logs are heavily encrypted, but Echo knows just the person to help crack it.
-
The interrogation droid hovers over Crosshair, stopping only when Doctor Emerie orders it. After checking his vitals, she tells the stormtroopers to secure his restraints. But Crosshair was feigning unconsciousness, and when the soldier lowers his guard and places his blaster within reach, Crosshair grabs the weapon and blasts his way out of the cell, leaving the stunned Doctor Emerie behind.
-
Crosshair shuffles to the control room and uses Emerie's access card to send a desperate distress call. "Plan 88. You have to hide..." he pleads before the unauthorized transmission triggers an alert. The doors are sealed and a noxious yellow gas is pumped into the room, knocking Crosshair unconscious.
-
Meanwhile on Pabu, Clone Force 99 has settled in among the other refugees, helping the villagers to rebuild after the flood.
-
In the skies above, the serenity is broken by the Marauder swooping low. Omega is at the helm, enjoying a flying lesson with her instructor, Tech. "I'm getting better, right?" she says with a smile. "The collision alarms haven't gone off once."
-
After completing "The Tech Turn" maneuver, the proximity sensors herald the arrival of Echo in the Remora. Safely back on the ground, she runs to embrace Echo, leaping into his arms. "We've missed you," she says.
-
Back on Wayland, Doctor Hemlock speaks with Governor Tarkin via holo. The stolen data from the attack on the prisoner transport may have compromised the location of Hemlock's facility.
-
That evening on Pabu, Hunter and Echo watch Omega playing gleefully with Wrecker and Lyana in the courtyard. During his time away, Echo has been building up a network of clones with Captain Rex. Although he's up against a power he can't hope to defeat, he still seeks justice. "It's about fighting for our brothers," Echo tells Hunter.
-
Meanwhile, Tech completes the decryption of the code. Intel is scarce, but he learns the chief scientist in charge of the clandestine operation in the Advanced Science Division is Doctor Royce Hemlock, a disgraced member of the Republic Science Corps who conducted "unauthorized, and unorthodox, experiments.”
-
Tech also finds Crosshair's clone number on the transfer register. When he checks the old comm channels to confirm, he patches into the distress call sent from Mount Tantiss. "Plan 88: The Seeker." Given their history, the Batchers can't be sure the message, a warning that they're being targeted, isn't another trap.
-
On Wayland, Crosshair finds himself back on the same exam table, the restraints tightened around his head and limbs. "Why suffer more?" Hemlock asks. "All I need is the young clone. She means nothing to you." Crosshair remains silent as the interrogation droid moves into view.
