A Twin Star Destroyer travels through space. Inside, a dark warrior visits the ship's core, finding a large red crystal emanating with power. Elsewhere, the black-armored Am talks with her droid, B-20N. Created through the power of the dark side, Am is ready to bring order to the galaxy -- along with her twin brother, Karre.
The crystal at the heart of the ship will power its superweapon, as well as the twins' armor. The hyper cannon is strong enough to destroy an entire planet, but B-20N worries about the effects the crystal will have on the siblings' bodies. Suddenly, an alarm sounds -- the power source has been stolen, and Am knows it was Karre!
Karre heads to the hangar bay with his droid, R-DUO, but finds Am and a squad of troopers waiting. As she approaches, R-DUO scurries away. When Karre does not surrender the power core and removes his armor, Am prepares to attack her brother...until Karre's X-wing, piloted by R-DUO, opens fire!
Karre hops into the cockpit and zooms away. But his sister, reaching out through the Force for the power core, pulls the ship back! The X-wing crashes onto the Star Destroyer's surface, while Karre and the core tumble.
The twins pull at the kyber crystal through the Force -- destroying Am's helmet -- until it finally breaks in half. Karre explains that a vision foretold Am's destruction from the power of the crystal, but she remains undeterred and places a shard in her armor.
Dark energy coursing through her, mechanical arms emerge from Am's armor and her lightsabers become tentacle-like whips as she chases her brother. Karre hides, placing a blue-hued crystal fragment in his own weapon before challenging Am.
"Save me? You can't even save yourself!" Am taunts as they battle. With a great display of power, she sends Karre hurtling into space -- until R-DUO comes to the rescue. Meanwhile, Karre's vision has come true as the dark energy from the crystal overloads Am armor.
It will take a massive amount of power to destroy the crystal and save Am. Without warning, R-DUO speeds the X-wing toward the Twin Star Destroyer. Karre, riding atop the fighter, ignites his lightsaber. Am momentarily stops her brother's attack, but when R-DUO activates the hyperdrive, Karre slices his sister's crystal and destroys part of the Star Destroyer.
In space, B-20N cradles her among the wreckage.
Karre awakens atop his X-wing, crashed on a desert world. "She's out there," he tells R-DUO. "She's alive. I can feel it. After all, she is my twin sister."
