The Bad Batch land on Ipsidon, a world of red rock. Soon, they locate a mine at coordinates provided by Cid. Their mission is to excavate the site for ipsium, which is valuable when refined, but highly combustible in its raw state. "Sounds dangerous," Wrecker says laughing. "I like it!"
-
Hunter warns that poachers could be in the area, and from a distance, someone watches the Batchers.
-
Tech and Hunter enter the mine and locate the ipsium, but it's in a very tight spot. Tech has an idea: send in Omega. "Very careful," Hunter says slowly, as she begins to drill. "I...know," Omega replies sarcastically. The young clone secures the precious mineral.
-
Meanwhile, the person who had been watching the group approaches the Marauder.
-
As they exit, Hunter senses something. He runs toward the Marauder, only to see it take off. Someone has stolen their ship!
-
The Bad Batch begin to walk to the nearest town. Suddenly, the ground starts to shake. It's a stampede of Ipsidon bucks, and the Batchers are soon overtaken. Wrecker jumps onto the ipsium case to protect it; if ruptured, the explosion would kill them all.
-
They soon learn the cause of the stampede: a violent lightning storm! The Batchers run inside another mine for safety, but lose the ipsium container in the process.
-
The storm lifts the case into the air, then slams it into the facade of the mine, causing a massive explosion and blocking the entrance with rubble. "So, now we are trapped," Tech says. "And we have lost all of our ipsium."
-
The Batchers start to dig their way out. Tech believes they will most likely not retrieve the Marauder, and continues to point blame toward Wrecker, who had been on watch. "The Marauder's our home! We already lost Echo," Omega says. "We can't lose that too." After a cold rebuff from Tech, Omega storms away.
-
She walks further into the mine, alone, and discovers even more deposits of ipsium.
-
Meanwhile, Tech laments that a small amount of ipsium would be enough to clear the rock blocking the entrance. The other Batchers encourage him to find Omega — and make up for his treatment of her.
-
Tech finds Omega in the mine, drilling. He stays with her as she fills the remaining canisters, but the final deposit proves too hard to reach. The young clone slips, falling into a body of water below! "Omega!" Tech yells, jumping in after her.
-
The rapids carry them to an alcove. Omega sees daylight nearby, and Tech relays the news to Hunter.
-
While they wait for Hunter and Wrecker, Omega and Tech sit. She worries that they still don't have the Marauder and can't contact Echo for help. "We do not need help," he says. "We will figure out a solution, as we always do."
-
The discussion continues. Omega misses Echo; she says they're a family, and Tech doesn't seem to care. "I may process moments and thoughts differently," Tech says. "But it does not mean that I feel any less than you." With that, Hunter and Wrecker arrive from above, Omega's recently recovered ipsium in tow.
-
The Batchers set the ipsium and blow the wall. Upon exit, they find that they've reached the spaceport. "Let's check it out," Hunter says.
-
The town turns out to be deserted, but Tech uses its array to contact Cid. At first, she declines to help, but ultimately agrees under pressure. "What'll we do now?" Wrecker asks. "We'll figure it out," Omega says. "Like we always do." She shoots Tech a knowing glance, who smiles in return.
