A steam train rushes through a desert landscape. Siblings Charuk and Rani ride inside, having left behind their father and home after an Imperial occupation.
-
When Charuk goes to buy some sweets, Rani pulls her brother's flute back to her through the Force. But this does not go unnoticed, and another passenger reports the incident to a stormtrooper.
-
Thinking quickly, Charuk grabs some lollipops and calls to the stormtroopers, leading them away. He eventually reaches the roof; suddenly, rebels attack the train, giving Rani a chance to bring Charuk back in. At the next stop, they sneak away.
-
Finally, they reach their destination: an outdoor restaurant lit with vibrant neon signs, torches, and lights. When a fight breaks out, it's quickly stopped by the old owner, Rugal. "These are dark times," she tells the siblings. "You can eat here. But you gotta be quick about it. A storm is coming."
-
The mischeivous Rani draws more attention, however, when she levitates a platter. Soon after, an Inquisitor arrives and heads directly toward the brother and sister. "The scavengers tell me of a girl they saw in the train with unusual powers," he says. "I don't suppose you know of any such girl with unusual powers?"
-
Platters begin to hover and fall — one onto the Inquisitor's head — but Rani claims it's not her doing. Growing angry, the Inquisitor grabs Charuk through the Force, throwing him violently. Then, the storm arrives, blowing sand everywhere as chaos erupts.
-
Rani races to her brother, but the Inquisitor has followed. "Nowhere to hide now," he says, red-bladed lightsaber ignited. "Rani, why did you do this?" Charuk asks. "It wasn't me," she replies.
-
"Leave them alone," Rugal says — before pulling her walking stick apart to reveal two lightsabers! The two warriors charge each other and duel feverishly until, finally, the Inquisitor falls.
-
Rugal leads the siblings to a secret passage, hidden beneath a pool and marked by the insignia of the Jedi Order. "It's time," she says. "You have shown tremendous courage reaching here. You'll have to let go of her now. You know this is the only way to keep her safe, don't you?"
-
The siblings say their goodbyes. Charuk gifts Rani a lollipop and waves as she heads underground; though saddened, he smiles as his flute suddenly appears in the restored water and floats toward him. "May the Force be with you," he says.
