Transmitting from Starkiller Base, Commander Pyre berates the Kragan Gorr for his failure to force Captain Doza and the Colossus platform into the First Order's hands. The pirate leader scoffs, demanding more money for his losses resulting from their deal. Pyre agrees -- but first, Kragan must steal something precious from Doza.

Kragan contacts Synara, informing her that Valik and Drell will soon arrive at the Colossus for a special mission. They are being shipped there in a container; Synara must receive it and somehow sneak the pirates into Doza's tower. Kragan won't divulge the nature of their assignment, but when complete, they'll get paid and Synara can come home.

Synara joins her friends for some holo-games in Torra's room, where she learns that the young pilot's security code can grant her access into the tower. Afterwards, Commander Pyre demands an answer on whether Doza will accept the First Order's help, but the Colossus overseer says he needs more time.

Later, Synara receives Valik and Drell at the docks; Kaz and BB-8, however, spot them together, and follow the pirates toward the tower. Synara gets them in, and just before separating, Drell finally tells Synara what they're here to steal: Doza's little girl. "Torra!" Synara says, worriedly.

Valik and Drell arrive at Torra's room; meanwhile, Synara contacts Kragan, wanting to know why he didn't tell her the plan. "Because you...are getting soft, Synara!" he says, ordering her to the skiff. She walks off, determined to stop the abduction.

When Doza learns that Torra has gone missing, he calls for a security sweep. Kaz and BB-8, trying to catch up to the pirates, accidentally run into Synara. She tells Kaz that someone has taken Torra, and together, they move to help their friend.

The pirates reach their getaway skiff, but Kaz and BB-8 follow in the Fireball and Doza scrambles the Aces. Kaz pursues the craft right to Kragan's massive, powerful ship, which keeps him at bay with heavy weaponry. To make matters worse, the First Order soon arrives.

But instead of offering payment, they open fire on Kragan and his crew, and take Torra.

Major Vonreg delivers Torra back to Captain Doza. He offers to leave a security detail behind, but Doza seems wary of his daughter's rescuers. Bringing in the Fireball, Kaz too has misgivings about the First Order's rescue of his friend. Kragan, having survived the attack, tells Synara that they were betrayed by the First Order and their deal is off.

Kaz checks in with Synara. She claims that the two individuals she escorted around the platform were salvagers, but Kaz seems unsure. Chatting with BB-8 afterwards, he acknowledges that Synara's either helping the pirates...or she's one of them.
