Ezra and the Ghost crew discuss the stone from the Jedi Temple. Sabine thinks she can make more sense of it if she sees the Temple up close, but it's far north and they have no ship.
-
The Padawan reaches out to the Loth-wolves, and the creatures come to transport the rebels.
-
On the journey, the team hears voices, but can't explain why. Finally, the Loth-wolves take them close, but the rebels will have to walk the rest of the way.
-
Ezra and Sabine reach the location, but find the Empire is there looking for something. And there's no sign of the Temple. Just rock.
-
With biker scout armor as a disguise, Ezra and Sabine get close to whatever it is the Empire is unearthing. Veris Hydan, the Imperial overseer of the excavation, arrives. He stops Ezra and Sabine from touching any artifact, lest they erase any evidence to "understanding the gateway."
-
The Emperor contacts Hydan. Hydan has found markings similar to those in the Jedi Archives -- images of the Mortis gods -- and believes they are key to entering the Temple. "We must seize the power within," Palpatine says. "A conduit between the living and the dead."
-
Ezra and Sabine approach the painting of the Mortis gods. Ezra recognizes the bird in the illustration, as well as Loth-wolves, but the figures are a mystery.
-
Inspecting the stone gifted them by the Loth-wolves, they realize that the position of the figures' hands are clues to entering.
-
While Sabine provides a distraction, Ezra activates the painting. The figures move, and the Loth-wolves form a circle -- which becomes a door. Ezra finds that he can reach through the circle, but is soon discovered by Hydan, and Sabine is captured.
-
With the Empire closing in, Ezra leaps through the portal. Stormtroopers try to follow, but crash into the rocky facade of the Temple.
