Maul wanders the Tatooine sands, sensing Kenobi and filled with rage. But how will he find him? He will draw him out...

At Chopper Base, Ezra awakens in the middle of the night to find his holocron activated and Obi-Wan's warning message playing. Suddenly, the Sith holocron howls and erupts in light. Maul is back, and Ezra is determined to find Kenobi first. While Hera commands Ezra to stay, the Padawan absconds in an A-wing -- with Chopper stowing away to accompany him.

Directed by pieces of the holocron, he lands on Tatooine at night and is quickly attacked by Sand People. The A-wing is destroyed, but the Tuskens are cut down by Maul.

The next day, Ezra and Chopper find themselves directionless in the desert. As they navigate sandstorms and walk to the point of exhaustion, Ezra hears Maul's voice. "Draw him out." Eventually, Chopper loses power and Ezra passes out. All seems lost.

But Ezra wakes to a strange sight. A campfire, with Chopper, a dewback, and a hooded figure gathered round. "You're in the wrong place, Ezra Bridger," Obi-Wan Kenobi says. Ezra implores Kenobi to come with him, but the Jedi Master will not. Maul sent Ezra there, not the holocron.

Suddenly, Maul appears. Kenobi sends Ezra away; he will face Maul. The former Sith ignites his weapon, and quickly realizes that Kenobi must be here to protect something -- or rather, to protect someone.

Kenobi readies his defenses.

Maul charges; Kenobi blocks his aggressive attacks and delivers one swift and final strike. The Zabrak collapses, and Kenobi cradles him. "Tell me...is it the Chosen One?" he asks. "He is," Kenobi replies. "He will avenge us," Maul says with his final words.

Ezra returns home and apologizes. The Ghost crew is his family, and they should go home.

Kenobi moves on, stopping at a homestead. "Luke...Luke!" a voice calls. A boy runs across the horizon.
