The rebel fleet travels through space, regrouping after the destruction of their command ship. They need a base...and more allies.
-
"I know someone who might be able to help us," says Ahsoka Tano. "A great military commander with a vast knowledge of the Outer Rim." The former Jedi has lost track of him, however. But she has an idea.
-
Ahsoka gives the head of an old tactical droid to the Ghost crew. She heard that her friend was last seen in the Seelos system, and the droid head may be able to locate him there. Kanan, Sabine, and Ezra take the Phantom down to the surface.
-
Upon arrival, the droid head awakens and repeats a number, 7567, over and over again. It's homing in on something. They spot some kind of a walking tank in the distance -- an old Republic AT-TE, like the kind used during the Clone Wars.
-
Three "old geezers" (according to Zeb) emerge, heavily armed. Ezra repeats the number 7567 to them, and the leader is shocked. "That's my birth number," he says. Kanan realizes they're clones, and ignites his lightsaber. One of the troopers opens fire, worried the Jedi have returned for revenge, but cooler heads prevail.
-
The head clone introduces the group: his name is Rex, captain of the 501st, and he's joined by Wolffe and Gregor. When Ezra says he was sent by Ahsoka Tano, Rex replies, "A friend of hers is a friend of mine."
-
Wolffe warns about the dangers of aiding the rebels, but Gregor sees an opportunity too good to miss.
-
Gregor informs the Ghost crew what they need to catch a joopa.
-
Agent Kallus receives news of a binary transmission from an old clone unit on Seelos -- something about a Jedi.
-
Rex tells Kanan that he, Wolffe, and Gregor did not kill any Jedi, having removed their control chips before Order 66.
-
An Imperial probe droid dispatched by the Empire rises from the sands to investigate its target destination.
-
Gregor and Ezra stand at the stern of the AT-TE Clone Tank, watching Zeb trek into the open landscape with a laser line tied to his waist.
-
Zeb finds himself caught in the long snaky tongue of the joopa, ready to pull him under the surface.
-
Ezra looks up at the monstrous joopa that has just emerged from the ground in a thick billowing cloud of smoke.
-
A jubilant Gregor aids Zeb as he emerges from the joopa’s mouth dazed and confused.
-
The Imperial probe droid scans its target from afar and spots Rex, Kanan, and Ezra in the moments following their capture of the joopa.
-
Kanan listens silently as Rex and Ezra discuss the purpose of the Clone Wars that cost so many lives.
-
Wolffe expresses his regret after Rex confronts him about informing the Empire of their situation with the Ghost crew.
-
Rex receives a long-range blaster rifle from Ezra, who urges him to clean up the clones’ mess by gunning down the fleeing Imperial probe droid.
-
Though the probe droid is destroyed, the damage is already done. The Empire now knows the whereabouts of the Ghost crew.
