The working title for this episode was “Repairs.” The first draft script was submitted on December 2, 2013.

In draft form of the script, Hera had 81 lines of dialogue. Sabine had 53, Ezra had 28, Zeb had 25, Chopper had 16, and Kanan had 11. The mysterious Fulcrum had only two lines.

At last, the long anticipated “space waffles” make an appearance in the series.

In the script, the beverages that Kanan and Hera are enjoying during some downtime are cups of Spiran caf. These remind Kanan of a time the two spent on the moons of Rion.

Though not named in the script, the abandoned Clone Wars-era Republic base is Fort Anaxes. Seen in the shadows are ARC 170 and Republic gunships wrecks.

The creatures were called garcors in the rough draft of the script. After reviewing possible names related to bats, the next iteration became nockfyrs, before finally settling on fyrnock, a name that sounds in the same scavenger family as mynock.

Rhydonium was seen in the Abafar episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars where it proves to be a powerful fuel and explosive.
