Kanan, Ezra, Sabine, and Chopper arrive at Yavin 4 -- the new secret home of the Rebellion. Shortly thereafter, Hera returns from a mission with what's left of her squadron, making a crash-landing.

The Ghost crew joins Mon Mothma and other rebel leaders in the war room. Senator Organa confirms that the Empire has established a new communications relay -- a massive dish -- which enabled them to respond quickly to Hera's mission. Kallus has an idea: they will tap into the relay, allowing the Rebellion to monitor Imperial communications.

Saw Gerrera contacts the Rebellion. They ignored his warnings about the relay, and they now refuse to destroy it, he says. Mothma will not stoop to the Empire's level and Gerrera's extremist ways. She ends the conversation.

The Ghost crew commences with the mission. Ezra wonders why they don't destroy the relay as Saw suggests, but Hera is adamant that they will follow orders. Sabine, Ezra, and Chopper jump from the Ghost to the dish's surface.

Chopper patches in, but the Empire is quickly alerted to their presence. Sabine radios for evac, and they resolve to blow the dish.

Both Chopper and the Empire attempt to tilt the dish, almost sending Ezra and Sabine over the edge. The stormtroopers weren't so lucky.

Meanwhile, the Ghost makes its way toward the dish with TIE defenders in pursuit. Hera takes the ship into the mist and Kanan directs her, seeing a path through the Force.

Before the Ghost arrives, however, a U-wing lands at the relay. It's Saw Gerrera! He takes Sabine and Ezra aboard, and drops powerful explosives.

The dish explodes, taking Admiral Brom Titus' cruiser with it.

Saw informs Hera that her friends are okay, and both ships make the jump to hyperspace. But Hera is dubious of Gerrera...

Gerrera needs the rebels' help. He shows them a hologram of Faos Station. Saw recently acquired intel on a secret Imperial cargo being loaded aboard a civilian freighter there, and needs them to infiltrate it.

They reach freighter 2716 and plant a tracker. Two Tubes follows the craft. Meanwhile, Ezra hears something in the distance...it sounds like "singing."

Moving throughout the freighter, the group avoids Imperial detection, eventually reaching cargo bay 17 -- a restricted area. There they find civilian prisoners, but Gerrera isn't interested in them. He wants that cargo. All of the prisoners are reactor specialists or mechanics, taken by the Empire for a top-secret project.

Ezra hears the song again, and Sabine gets them into the room it seems to be coming from. What they find, however, are death troopers. Sabine quickly throws some smoke-bombs.

The death troopers retreat, and the rebels have found the secret cargo...

It's a kyber crystal, massive in size. That's what Ezra heard -- it was singing to him, the same way the crystal in his lightsaber once did. Sabine warns that it could become unstable, and they must put their blasters away.

Saw debates with Sabine and Ezra what to do with the crystal. Without warning, he stuns them, determined to "learn the secrets" of his enemy. Saw wants to stay on the ship until they reach their destination -- he is convinced the Empire's superweapon will be there. But all they find upon exiting hyperspace is a Star Destroyer.

Gerrera takes Ezra's lightsaber and drives it into the crystal, turning it into a bomb. Beams of energy erupt from the crystal, blasting stormtroopers, and Sabine and Ezra part ways with Saw.

Sabine, Ezra, and Chopper escape with the prisoners on a stolen Imperial shuttle, and the Star Destroyer blows up in a brilliant explosion.

On the Ghost, the prisoners inform Hera that they've decided to join the Rebellion. Welcome news, but Kanan is troubled about the Empire's continued desire to secure kyber crystals...
