Governor Pryce is informed that Kanan Jarrus has been killed. But with the destruction of the fuel depot, production of the TIE defender will halt. Pryce decides to throw a parade to celebrate the Empire's victory -- and hide the depot explosion from Imperial high command.
The Ghost crew returns home, crushed at the loss of their friend. Upon learning of the Empire's plans for a parade, they resolve to strike back.
Three Loth-wolves greet Ezra...but they do not seem pleased. The creatures drive Ezra away from the camp, growling and barking as they give chase.
Thrawn contacts Pryce. He is most displeased, seeing through the facade of the parade. His TIE defender program is now over with the loss of the fuel supply, and Pryce's actions have thus handed the rebels a victory.
While Hera mourns with Chopper, Sabine and Zeb proceed with their plan. They take out a squad of troopers, drawing out Rukh in the process. The Empire took Kanan from them; they'll take something from the Empire.
Having wandered the Lothal plains into the night, Ezra awakens to find a giant Loth-wolf before him. It calls itself Dume -- Kanan's birth name.
Rukh tracks the rebels, and enables a cloaking device. Unable to see their foe, Rukh proves difficult to defeat.
Ezra speaks with Dume, saying he feels lost without his master. Afraid. "Fight together," Dume tells him, as another Loth-wolf brings him a stone from the Jedi temple.
Finally, Sabine finds a way to even the fight, placing a paint explosive on Rukh. Zeb pummels the assassin until Sabine implores him to stop. Instead of ending him, Sabine spray paints Rukh, and they send him back to the Empire.
Sabine and Zeb return to Hera. They inform her that the TIE defender factories were shut down. "Then we have a chance. We can still beat them," Hera says. With that, Ezra enters, saying that the Jedi temple is in danger -- and they're the only ones that can do anything about it.
