Aqua droids herd the Mon Calamari prisoners into an interment camp, including Jedi Knights Anakin Skywalker and Kit Fisto, Senator Padmé Amidala and Jar Jar Binks. Riff Tamson, eager to locate the missing Prince Lee-Char, prepares to interrogate his captives.
-
Correctly surmising that the Jedi would not want any harm to befall the Senators, Tamson forces Padmé and Jar Jar into pincer-armed containment devices that keep them from escaping. Anakin's anger begins to boil.
-
Tamson is just getting started. He orders his Quarren lackeys to place Anakin and Kit inside a cage of electrified Mon Cala eels. The Jedi refuse to reveal the whereabouts of Prince Lee-Char, so Tamson has them zapped by the eels. Quarren Chieftain Nossor Ri cannot bring himself to watch this gruesome sight.
-
Meanwhile, Prince Lee-Char keenly feels his father's absence. If the king was still alive, he could unite the Mon Calamari and the Quarren. The two peoples had respected each other in the past despite their differences, until Riff Tamson arrived to stir up trouble. Lee-Char realizes that the Mon Calamari, Quarren, clone and Gungan prisoners outnumber the droid invaders, if only he could unite them.
-
Nossor Ri asks Count Dooku if hunting down the prince is absolutely necessary given the current victory against the Mon Calamari. The Separatist leader exhibits no interest in the Quarren's opinions -- he only seeks the exploit them in the larger war against the Republic. Nossor Ri's sinking feeling that he has forged a terrible alliance grows as he sees that Tamson has brought his own Karkarodon enforcers.
-
Seeking Captain Ackbar's help, Prince Lee-Char and Ahsoka infiltrate one of the prison camps. The prince's presence stirs hope among the captive Mon Calamari. Lee-Char promises to free the prisoners as their king.
-
Lee-Char finds Ackbar and Senator Meena Tills and tells them of his plan to unite the prisoners to attack their captors. Ackbar is still distrustful of the Quarren for the murder of King Yolina, but Lee-Char and Ahsoka believe it was Riff Tamson who was responsible. When aqua droids spot the prince, he deliberately allows himself to be captured, demanding to speak to their leader.
-
Growing impatient at the Jedi's refusal to answer, Tamson throws out a terrible ultimatum. With his mighty jaws, he chomps on Padmé's helmet, cracking the protective bubble. Water starts to spill into Padmé's mask. She will drown unless Anakin answers Tamson.
-
Tamson leaves when word reaches him of the prince's arrival. Jar Jar comes to Padmé's rescue by hocking a glob of sticky goo -- "Gungan waterproofin'" onto her cracked helmet, sealing it water-tight.
-
Tamson meets Prince Lee-Char and Ahsoka in the Mon Cala throne room, where the evil Karkarodon has taken his position on the vacant throne. Lee-Char demands the freedom of all of Mon Cala's citizens. Nossor Ri realizes the prince is sincere, despite the betrayal of the Quarren. Tamson orders the public execution of the prince.
-
Tamson hopes to crush all hope of rebellion with the prince's death. He gathers the prisoners -- including the Republic ones -- to witness Lee-Char's execution. Lee-Char stands defiant. The Quarren begin to stir. Before Tamson's Karkarodons killers can strike, the Quarren conceal the prince with clouds of their ink.
-
The Quarren guards begin arming their prisoners. Nossor Ri calls upon his people to fight back for Prince Lee-Char. Ahsoka reclaims her lightsabers from the aqua droid captors and helps free Anakin. The battle is once again joined.
-
Gungan fights next to Mon Calamari, clone next to Quarren, all united to battle the aqua droid and Karkarodon intruders.
-
Not even the mighty Trident craft can resist the overwhelming numbers of those fighting for a free Mon Cala.
-
In the end, Prince Lee-Char succeeds in blasting Riff Tamson to pieces by pinpoint-shooting one of the Karkarodon's explosive weapons. The day is won. The prince is heralded as a hero.
-
At a special ceremony, Brother Lemcke crowns Lee-Char as the 83rd king of Mon Claa. Chieftain Nossor Ri pledges the loyalty of the Quarren people to his rule. Peace has at long last come to Mon Cala.
