Homeward bound! On a peaceful relief mission to the planet Aleen, R2-D2 and C-3PO were caught up in an adventure beyond their comprehension. After finally resolving the crisis and being taken to Jedi Master Adi Gallia's cruiser, they now head home toward the safety of the Republic, hoping to avoid a Separatist attack....
-
Threepio's next assignment is to supervise a Senatorial banquet in two days -- a very welcome change of pace. But alarm klaxons suddenly wail as the Jedi cruiser shudders from enemy fire. It is outnumbered by Separatist warships!
-
Separatist forces have invaded the Jedi cruiser. As Adi Gallia and her clone troopers defend against General Grievous and his battle droids, C-3PO and R2-D2 avoid the conflict and make their way to the hangar bay, in hopes of evacuating the ship.
-
R2-D2 hops into a waiting Y-wing fighter. Despite his misgivings about Artoo's piloting skills in a space battle, C-3PO climbs aboard.
-
The Y-wing is harried by a stubborn vulture droid, which blasts it out of the skies of nearby Patitite Pattuna. The Y-wing crashes into an ominous dead swamp on the planet. C-3PO and R2-D2 emerge from their downed vessel and explore the surrounding swamp, but they are watched by alien eyes.
-
The native Patitites suddenly swarm the droids, attacking them with their electrified staves. The droids are surprised by this welcome -- and by the fact that the Patitites are less than 30 centimeters tall! The Patitites incapacitate the droids.
-
The droids are bound and dragged before the Big Hay-Zu, who arrives with much fanfare. The tiny captors Tagoo and Jimba explain that Hay-Zu is the ultimate authority of the Patitites. Hay-Zu does not like intruders. Though Hay-Zu agrees to free the droids, he orders them to get off his planet.
-
Artoo doesn't care for Hay-Zu's bossy attitude and blats a surly reply to the tiny potentate. Threepio's protocol programming kicks in to avoid an interplanetary incident, and he intervenes before R2-D2 says anything too provoking. But when Threepio gives Artoo a reprimanding knock on the dome, the little droid falls over and -- SPLAT -- crushes the big Hay-Zu.
-
The Patitites are thrilled that their dictator has been killed! They are now free. The Patitites helpfully fix the droids' Y-wing fighter, and propose that C-3PO become their new leader. Threepio declines, and instead teaches the Patitites the concept of democracy. He tells the tiny aliens to choose from among the three most intelligent, compassionate, and understanding among them. Unable to choose, the Patitites erupt into civil war as the droids leave the planet.
-
The droids don't get very far, however. Their Y-wing runs out of fuel and they must set down on the nearby planet of Balnab. The droids trek through the primordial jungles in a desperate search for power.
-
Suddenly, three alien riders appear atop tee-muss mounts, galloping towards the droids. One of the riders zaps the droids with an electrified net gun. The droids are once again captured! The slow-witted aliens drag their new captives to their leader.
-
The droids are marched into a canyon, and before a towering holographic form of Albee Dewa, leader of Balnab. The booming leader is incensed that someone would dare bring non-living beings before him. While C-3PO tries to smooth things over diplomatically, Artoo follows his sensors to something peculiar in the rock-face.
-
Artoo's snooping leads him to a secret control room built into the canyon-side, where he discovers that Albee Dewa is just a holographic projection animated by a team of scheming pit droids who have enslaved the Balnab. Artoo exposes the deception to the enraged Balnab denizens.
-
Artoo and Threepio continue their trek until their power cells are completely drained. A pirate marauder vessel lands in the jungle, drawn by the abandoned Republic Y-wing. A pair of Weequay pirates also grab the inert droids for scrap.
-
The droids reawaken, fully charged, but find themselves waiting to be pitted in a droid gladiator fight! The violent pirates cheer on the mechanical mayhem.
-
Competing in the arena is the giant K0-5D, a brutal warrior equipped with powerful servos and a flamethrower.
-
Just then, the pirate vessel crosses paths with General Grievous' flagship. The Separatists use the pirate vessel for target practice. A laser blast rips open a hole in the pirate ship's hull, and Artoo and Threepio are sucked out into space.
-
Threepio clings to Artoo as the little droid rockets toward the nearest vessel -- the Separatist dreadnought. The droids land in the hangar bay, and are immediately taken prisoner by battle droids. Artoo and Threepio are marched to the incinerator room, where they will be melted down for General Grievous' war machine.
-
Just then, a fleet of Republic cruisers emerges from hyperspace and attacks the Separatist dreadnought. Plo Koon leads a rescue mission that infiltrates the enemy ship. He and the Wolfpack are here to rescue the captive Adi Gallia.
-
General Grievous flees the battle, and R2-D2 and C-3PO emerge from the shadows, pleased to be rescued. Commander Wolffe is stunned to see these droids again. He sighs as C-3PO begins recounting, at length, their fabulous adventures.
