Cad Bane has stolen a Jedi holocron and has travelled to the Devaron system to capture a Jedi who can open it. His target -- the Jedi Master Bolla Ropal -- also possesses the Kyber Crystal, which will reveal data on every known Force-sensitive child in the galaxy when combined with the holocron.

Arriving in orbit over Devaron aboard the Jedi cruiser Resolute, Anakin and Admiral Yularen tangle with a trio of Separatist frigates. Master Ropal has been captured and is currently being held prisoner in one of the frigates -- but which one?

The frigate carrying Ropal begins to leave the battle zone. After the Resolute knocks out its hyperdrive engines, Anakin orders Yularen to ready the troops for boarding. The Resolute has no boarding craft, so Anakin will use three pressure-sealed AT-TE walkers instead.

Meanwhile, the captive Bolla Ropal is subjected to painful electrical charges as he is interrogated by Bane. The bounty hunter orders Ropal to open the holocron, but the Jedi refuses. Bane intensifies his torture, killing Ropal. He'll now need another Jedi to open the holocron.

Three AT-TE walkers emerge from the Resolute, free-falling through the vacuum of space to land on the hull of the Separatist ship. Wearing space-suits, Anakin and Ahsoka cut their way through battle droids as R2-D2 plugs into an airlock control, opening a hatch which leads into the frigate.

On the frigate's bridge, Cad Bane communicates with a hologram of Nute Gunray, who is upset about the destroyed Separatist cruisers he loaned the bounty hunter at Darth Sidious's request. The conversation cut short by a distant blast, Bane orders the ship's memory banks wiped and its self-destruct sequence initiated. He transfers all basic controls of the ship to his wrist-com and leaves the bridge.

Anakin, Ahsoka, and clones storm onto the bridge. Artoo plugs into the computer system and locates a fragment of Bane's conversation with Gunray, revealing the bounty hunter now possesses both the holocron and the Kyber Crystal. Anakin orders Rex to secure the hangar bay and destroy all the escape pods. No one is to get off the frigate.

Ahsoka and Anakin find Bolla's body abandoned in a prison cell and continue their hunt for Bane. They find him on the gunnery deck, where he uses his wrist gauntlet to deactivate the artificial gravity. While the troopers and droids have magnetized feet and quickly regain their footing, the Jedi begin to lift off the deck.

After a brief tussle in zero gravity, Artoo reactivates the gravity. Separated from Anakin in the fight, Ahsoka goes after Bane. He uses his wrist-com to lock the blast doors behind Ahsoka, cutting off the Padawan from her Master. Bane gets the jump on her, and zaps her unconscious.

Anakin senses his Padawan's danger through the Force. He orders Rex to get to the hangar and secure a transport while the Resolute is to move a safe distance away as the frigate counts down to self-destruct. Anakin is going after Ahsoka.

Anakin finds Ahsoka, shackled by Bane. Bane activates a pair of shield doors, trapping Ahsoka on the space-ward side of an airlock. Anakin orders Bane to stand down, but Bane has the advantage. The bounty hunter dangles a finger over his wrist control, which can eject Ahsoka into space. Bane makes an offer: If Anakin can open the holocron, he'll let Ahsoka live. Skywalker agrees to Bane's terms.

Anakin uses the Force to levitate the holocron. He opens it to accept Bane's Kyber memory crystal, activating it. Now having what he wants, Bane uses his gauntlet to open the airlock door to space. Air rushes out as Ahsoka clings to a bulkhead.

Anakin opens the barrier between them as Bane uses his rocket boots to escape the sucking vacuum behind a sealed bulkhead. In the airlock, Anakin strains toward the door's controls and seals the outside hatch. He and Ahsoka are safe for the moment.

The ship is going to detonate any second. Anakin and Ahsoka run to the Separatist shuttle that Captain Rex has captured. As the vessel begins to lift off, they spot trooper Denal and Bane fighting in the upper deck. Denal blasts Bane, and the hunter's lifeless body falls to the floor. The shuttle hovers to the upper deck to pick up a wounded Denal before roaring out of the hangar bay.

Denal reports that he did not get the holocron. The entire frigate vaporizes as the shuttle escapes and flies to the Resolute. The holocron appears to have been destroyed, but at least the Separatists did not get it. Anakin, however, still senses Bane's presence in the Force...
