Jedi Masters Yoda and Plo Koon congratulate Ahsoka Tano on the success of her recent mission. While Anakin Skywalker immediately receives a new assignment, the Jedi Council asks Ahsoka to remain behind.

That night, Ahsoka has nightmares about bounty hunter Aurra Sing threatening someone close to her.

Ahsoka visits Yoda in his living quarters and tells him about her disturbing visions. Ahsoka believes that Aurra Sing might not be dead after all and she's preparing to kill someone close to her. Yoda tells her she must meditate to understand her premonitions more clearly.

While Ahsoka is studying in the library, she falls asleep and has another vision of Aurra Sing pointing a sniper rifle at Senator Padmé Amidala.

Ahsoka pays a visit to Senator Amidala to warn her that she's in grave danger. Ahsoka tells Padmé and Captain Typho that she thinks Aurra Sing wants to assassinate her. Padmé is leaving in the morning to go to a conference about helping war refugees hosted by Bail Organa on Alderaan.

Ahsoka meditates and envisions Aurra Sing sneaking out from an air duct, assembling a rifle and taking aim at Padmé. Ahsoka visits Yoda again to tell him she's certain it's Senator Amidala who is in danger. He reminds her that the future is always in motion and many different futures are possible.

Ahsoka catches up with Senator Amidala, Captain Typho and the rest of her entourage to ask to accompany her to the conference as extra security. Padmé agrees and enjoys Ahsoka's company.

Ahsoka and Padmé play a game of holographic chess to relax, but Ahsoka is still nervous. She confesses to Padmé that she feels unsure of her abilities. Padmé says she felt the same way when she was Queen of Naboo. She tells Ahsoka she will learn to trust in herself.

Ahsoka has a more intense vision of Aurra Sing successfully killing Padmé. Ahsoka is so shaken by the nightmare that she rushes into Padmé's bedroom with her lightsaber ignited ready to do battle, but it is a false alarm.

Senators Bail Organa and Mon Mothma greet Senator Amidala at the landing platform on Alderaan and take her to her quarters. Ahsoka trails behind and meditates in the hallway. In a vision she sees Aurra Sing again crawling through ducts, and firing a shot at Padmé during her speech.

Ahsoka tells Padmé and Captain Typho that the attempt on the Senator's life will happen that night. Ahsoka says her visions are becoming clearer, revealing more detail. This time, she saw Padmé in a large room giving a speech. Padmé, Captain Typho and Ahsoka find the room that was in her vision, but she's not sure where Aurra Sing would be hiding. Ahsoka is unsure of her visions and not sure what to believe anymore.

During Senator Bail Organa's introduction of Senator Amidala, Aurra Sing sneaks behind one of the guard and kills him undetected. Ahsoka scans the room as Padmé begins her speech but sees nothing. Aurra Sing silently assembles her rifle and takes aim.

Ahsoka spots something in the balcony and runs to see if it's Aurra Sing. She uses her Force powers to nudge the rifle off target just as Aurra Sing fires at Padmé. Discovered, the bounty hunter fires off a few shots at Ahsoka before giving her the slip.

Ahsoka finds out from the medic droid that Senator Amidala only suffered a shoulder wound. She tells Padmé and Bail that Aurra Sing escaped. She pleads with Padmé to cancel her speech that night and leave the conference for her own safety. Padmé refuses. Ahsoka thinks she might have a plan that could work.

Ahsoka enters the room with Bail Organa, followed by a luxury droid disguised as Senator Amidala in a cloak. The attendees applaud their arrival. Meanwhile Aurra Sing sneaks in again through an air vent. Ahsoka keeps watch with Captain Typho. Padmé, who is safely in her room, begins her speech via comlink through the droid. Ahsoka senses Aurra and runs off to investigate.

Aurra Sing is nowhere near the packed conference room, but instead lurking in the air vents in Padmé's room. Just as she aims at Padmé again, Ahsoka bursts into the room with her lightsaber ignited. She deflects the blaster fire and uses the Force to throw Aurra to the ground. The angered Aurra shoots at the door, closing it so Captain Typho and his guards can't get into the room.

Aurra tells Ahsoka that she may have left her for dead on Florrum, but Hondo Ohnaka pulled her from the wreckage. Padmé asks Aurra why she wants her dead. Aurra laughs that it's not about Padmé's politics, it's purely about revenge. Aurra's employer wants to get even with Padmé. As Aurra gloats, Padmé secretly pulls out a blaster from her shoulder sling.

Ahsoka blocks Aurra's blaster fire from hitting Padmé, but she's soon hit and falls to the ground. As Ahsoka falls, Padmé pulls out her blaster and stuns Aurra. Ahsoka is injured, but impressed with Padmé's shooting skills.

Ahsoka, Senator Amidala, Senator Bail Organa, Captain Typho and the rest of the entourage return to Coruscant with Aurra Sing in custody. Anakin and Yoda greet them at the landing platform. Padmé tells Anakin that without Ahsoka's foresight, the outcome could have been dire. Yoda commends Ahsoka on her visions.

Ahsoka's still concerned that they don't know who hired Aurra to assassinate Padmé. At Yoda's urging, Ahsoka closes her eyes to reclaim her vision, hearing bizarre laughter and seeing purple shapes. Padmé thinks she knows who it is -- Ziro the Hutt. They visit Ziro in prison and trick him into confessing about the hit he put on Padmé.
