The Bad Batch and Omega travel through hyperspace in the Marauder. Rations are low, and the ship continues to malfunction after the battle at Saleucemi. Suddenly, the power capacitor blows, and the shuttle is ripped from hyperspace! It plummets toward the Ordo Moon below.
-
They crash land! Everyone is okay, but they'll need to replace the capacitor. They talk briefly about Crosshair, and how his betrayal may have been influenced by his inhibitor chip, but Hunter cuts the discussion short -- they need to fix the ship.
-
On Kamino, Crosshair continues to undergo procedures manipulating his inhibitor chip. Tarkin watches from an observation room and is soon joined by Rampart, the Imperial admiral who implemented the chain code order. He is now heading Project War-Mantle: a squad of elite recruits to be commanded...by Crosshair.
-
He introduces the team to Tarkin, envisioning them as the first of many. "A partnership such as this could have promise," Tarkin says of recruits trained by clone commanders.
-
Tech and Echo get to work on the ship. But the cybernetic soldier sees something out of the corner of his eye. He scopes the area, finding claw marks on the ship's hull.
-
The clones go inside to give a status report when a creature suddenly crawls down the front viewport! Omega leaps in surprise, and sees that the beast took the capacitor. Tech explains that it's most likely an Ordo Moon dragon, a species that feeds on raw energy. Hunter readies to find the animal, and Omega volunteers to go with him.
-
The Kaminoan prime minister, Lama Su, debates the value of recruits versus clones with Rampart. Listening, Tarkin demands a test: send Crosshair and the recruits to Onderon, where they will wipe out Saw Gerrera and his camp.
-
Hunter and Omega track the beast in the dark of night. The girl implores Hunter not to blame Crosshair for his actions. "He can't help it," she says. When Hunter says he blames himself for leaving his old friend, Omega promises they'll get him back.
-
The Imperial unit arrives in Onderon space. While one soldier antagonizes Crosshair, the mission continues. They land and begin their attack.
-
Back at the crash site, Hunter finally locates the capacitor. But before he can grab it...
-
...the beast attacks! After momentarily losing his breathing apparatus, Hunter falls unconscious. Omega radios for help and then picks up her friend's blaster to continue the search.
-
On Onderon, the Imperial squad methodically takes out Gerrera's squad, though their leader is nowhere to be found. When Crosshair prepares to destroy the remaining civilians, one recruit challenges him. "You want to know why they put me in charge?" Crosshair says. "It's because I'm willing to do what needs to be done." He kills the Imperial soldier and orders the rest to finish the mission.
-
Omega, searching on her own in an underground tunnel, comes upon the capacitor. But the beast quickly appears, roaring at the little one. Meanwhile, Hunter has awoken and follows Omega's trail.
-
Face-to-face with the creature, Omega has an idea and tosses her flashlight to the animal. When it begins to chew on the device, she grabs the capacitor and leaves to find Hunter waiting.
-
The Imperial squad arrives back at Kamino, and Tarkin is impressed. While he feels clones are a cost-prohibitive relic of the past, they may still be of use to the Empire. He leaves the project under the command of Rampart.
-
Lama Su confers with Nala Se, worried that their cloning operation is in danger, especially with the continued degradation of Jango Fett's genetic material. If Nala Se's experiment to design a superior clone comes to fruition, it could save the Kaminoans.
-
Finally, Crosshair returns to his barracks alone, while the Bad Batch blast off. As they reach the stars, Wrecker presents a gift to Omega: her own room. "It's perfect!" she says. "I never had my own room before." Hunter is pleased with her reaction. "Well, you're a part of this squad now, too," he says.
