Baylan Skoll and his apprentice, Shin Hati, board a New Republic starship. They attack the crew with precision and free Morgan Elsbeth; she informs them that Ahsoka Tano has learned about a certain map.

Elsewhere, Ahsoka investigates the ruins of an ancient temple on Arcana. Following a battle with deadly HK droids, she secures a locked orb-like map and escapes to her ship, where the droid known as Huyang is waiting.

General Hera Syndulla contacts Ahsoka, and informs her that Elsbeth has escaped. She also encourages Tano to reach out to Sabine Wren for help in unlocking the map, which points the way to Grand Admiral Thrawn and, by extension, Ezra Bridger. "She'll do it," Hera says. "For Ezra."

On Lothal, Governor Azadi dedicates a monument to Commander Bridger and other rebel leaders who fought for the planet, in a ceremony before the populace. He introduces Sabine, but she does not show.

Wren races away on her speeder, blowing past security who order her to pull over. “Well, here’s a new order," she tells them. "Get lost.”

Sabine arrives back at Ezra's old home in abandoned transmitter tower, where she now lives. With only her Loth-cat as company, she watches Bridger's final message before he disappeared. "...I'm counting on you to see this through," he says. "May the Force be with you."

Morgan and Baylan arrive at the temple ruins on Arcana, which Elsbeth reveals belonged to the Nightsister witches — her ancestors. She commands that Skoll send his apprentice to Lothal for Sabine, Ahsoka's former student.

Ahsoka arrives on Lothal, and there's a tension between her and Sabine as she asks for help. “This isn't just about finding Ezra," Ahsoka says. "It’s about preventing another war.” Wren absconds with the map to work on it, but a probe droid spots her.

Sabine researches the orb in her home, and finally unlocks it to reveal a star chart pointing to another galaxy. She's not alone, however — a droid assassin attacks from the shadows! Sabine defeats it, but another enemy awaits below.

Shin and Sabine duel on the platform. Though both show skill with a lightsaber, Sabine is no match and Shin leaves with the map.
