With the cargo transfer complete, Thrawn orders the Eye of Sion out of orbit, and his fighters to pursue Ahsoka. He thanks the Great Mothers for their assistance, who command Morgan to come forward. “You shall be rewarded," one says. "The gift of shadows.” They perform a ritual, and Elsbeth's face changes under its spell. Finally, they conjure a sword — the Blade of Talzin — and gift it to Morgan.

Ezra tinkers with his new lightsaber as Huyang advises, and asks the droid what happened between Ahsoka and Sabine. Huyang says that following the Empire's destruction of Mandalore, Tano came to believe that Sabine was training for the wrong reasons and could become dangerous. Ahsoka then ceased training her.

Meanwhile, Sabine and Ahsoka talk. Ahsoka is not angry with Sabine for her decision to give Baylan the map, claiming that her own Master always stood by her. "That’s why, no matter what happens next, I’m going to be there for you,” Ahsoka says.

Suddenly, TIEs attack Ahsoka's ship! Sabine manages to fly away — and take out the enemy — but crashes nearby. They decide to bring the fight to Thrawn, and ride howlers to the fortress. The Grand Admiral, meanwhile, prepares for a ground assault.

Evading fire from above, the Jedi reach the fortress. There they battle Thrawn's night troopers, and cut down the forces. But the Great Mothers begin to chant...

...and the troopers rise! The undead soldiers lumber forward, driving the Jedi up the fortress. They manage to seal off the attackers, and Ahsoka sends Ezra and Sabine to find Thrawn while she confronts Elsbeth.

Sabine and Ezra reach the uppermost platform, where the fortress meets Thrawn's Star Destroyer. But the Grand Admiral's starship, now docked with the Eye of Sion, begins its departure. Sabine helps Ezra make a near impossible jump onto the vessel; when Sabine sees Ahsoka is in trouble, however, she declines the leap and turns back.

Now with her Master, Wren fights off the night troopers, and Ahsoka delivers a final blow to Elsbeth.

Thrawn targets the fortress. With some good timing from Huyang, Ahsoka and Sabine manage to escape the blast and give chase. Thrawn opens a channel, taunting his adversaries. "Long live the Empire," he says before making the jump to hyperspace.

Thrawn arrives at Dathomir with his mysterious cargo; Shin regroups with the bandits; Baylan reaches a mountain peak carved with the images of three ancient figures, pointing to a shimmering light on the horizon. Back with the tribe, Sabine joins Ahsoka in a quiet moment. “Ezra is where he needs to be," Ahsoka says. "And so are we. It’s time to move on.” As they turn back to the camp, Anakin Skywalker watches in the distance.
