Inside a bustling cantina, Omega and Phee sit with a contact named Lanse Crowder. They negotiate the price of a small statue, and all seems fine...
...until the gangster tries to kill Phee. Unknown to Crowder, Phee brought along Hunter and Wrecker, and a shootout erupts. They contact Tech for a pickup, managing to get away with the artifact. "Now, that was a fun mission," Omega says.
Back on the ship, Phee tells the Batchers that Omega needs to learn other things besides fighting, and have friends. But a message from Cid interrupts them, with the parlor owner visibly angry that the Bad Batch have cut ties with her.
"She's a useful ally, but not someone you want to cross," Phee warns Hunter. As the Bad Batch have no plan, Phee invites them to come with her.
They soon arrive at Pabu, home of the Archium — a museum of artifacts. Shep Hazard, mayor of Pabu, and his daughter Lyana come to greet them. Lyana says that Phee has never brought friends to Pabu before.
Shep and Lyana show the Bad Batch the island; at one point, Omega giggles as friendly creatures called moonyos swarm her. "I have not heard her laugh like that in some time," Tech says.
Hunter speaks with Shep. Most of the villagers are refugees looking for safe haven, Shep explains, and Phee hints that the Bad Batch should stay. "A little stability might do you all some good," she says.
Lyana takes Omega out on her boat while the grownups finish dinner. They all enjoy the sunset and beauty of the island, but Hunter suddenly grows concerned. "Something's coming," he says.
A tremor rips through the island! Lyana and Omega head back, but another tremor strikes. Tech believes Pabu is at risk for a sea surge.
Suddenly, the warning system blares, and Shep begins ordering his people to higher ground. In the seas, Omega and Lyana are forced to leap from their boat, finally making it to a small land protrusion. A large wave looms, however, heading straight for them.
The citizenry panics. Tech and Phee work together to deploy rescue ladders, giving the people another means to ascend.
Lyana and Omega race toward land. As the wave nears, Hunter swoops in with the Marauder to take them to safety.
The next day, the sun is shining, and the water has rescinded. "I was thinking," Hunter says. "We could stay and help out with things." "You would be most welcome," Shep replies.
