After the rise of the Empire, Doctor Hemlock enjoys a new title as head of the Advanced Science Division wielding the power to control secret medical trials in cloning technology at the Mount Tantiss facility on Wayland. Working on secret projects of great interest to the Emperor himself, Hemlock has amassed a veritable army of clone prisoners, unwilling subjects for his invasive procedures.

Dr. Emerie Karr blends into the crowd of Imperial medical professionals working inside the secret labs at Mount Tantiss on the world of Wayland. A diligent worker who seems to have compassion for the clone prisoners on her exam table, Dr. Karr believes that resisting the Empire's experimentation is futile. But she has more empathy for her test subjects than some, owing to the fact she is also the result of Kaminoan cloning technology, a sister to Omega and the other clones.

Omega travels the galaxy with her brothers, Clone Force 99, as a formidable member of their squad. Before the Empire came to power, she served as a medical assistant to Nala Se on the clone's homeworld of Kamino, spending her life working in Tipoca City. Omega is herself a product of the Kaminoans cloning experimentation. Although skilled with her energy bow and other weapons, Omega now puts her curious mind and intelligence to use for the good of her found family and their very survival, relying on her strategic thinking and compassion as they eke out a new life for themselves in a changing galaxy.

The boisterous bruiser of Clone Force 99, a group of elite soldiers known as the Bad Batch, Wrecker is a tower of a soldier, with powerful muscles that make him far stronger than the average clone. He earns his nickname well, as he has a flair for barreling through any obstacle thrown his way and serves as the resident demolitions expert -- a job he performs with much enthusiasm.

Hunter is a strong and stoic soldier with a special set of skills. As the leader of the Bad Batch,—technically known as Clone Force 99, a group formed as the result of Kaminoan experiments to create a specialist unit of clone commandos—Hunter has extraordinarily keen senses that give him an edge when tracking down his targets. But his allegiance has been tested in the aftermath of Order 66, and his duty is now to Clone Force 99 alone, including the newest member, young Omega.

On the world of Wayland, the Empire has hidden a secret military operation in the peak of Mount Tantiss. Concealed by the jagged landscape, deep underground Imperial scientists are continuing the work that began on Kamino, harnessing a deeper understanding of cloning technology at Emperor Palpatine's behest.
