The Umbaran Militia used these insect-like assassin droids against the Grand Army of the Republic during the battle of Umbara in the Clone Wars. During that conflict, one of these droids destroyed many clones in the 501st battalion that was led by Jedi General Anakin Skywalker. They were colored black, blue, and purple and seemed to conduct electricity.
