As the Empire tightened its grip on the Outer Rim world of Lothal, Imperial Troop Transports became increasingly common sights both in Capital City and the planet’s hinterlands. Before enrolling in the Imperial Academy, Zare Leonis watched as ITTs rounded up farmers protesting Imperial policies. When an ITT pursued a speeder carrying insurgents, Zare damaged the Imperial vehicle with a detonator, then fled aboard a jumpspeeder.

After Hera Syndulla sent Ezra Bridger and Zeb Orrelios to find meilooruns, Ezra tried to steal some of the fruit from crates being loaded aboard an Imperial Troop Transport. That led to a chase through Capital City, with Ezra and Zeb winding up behind the controls of a TIE fighter.

Supply Master Yogar Lyste took three ITTs to the farm of Morad Sumar, who had resisted Imperial pressure to sell his property. Lyste ordered the troop transports to open fire, destroying part of the Sumar farm, and then took the inhabitants into custody.

Aboard the stolen TIE, Ezra and Zeb saw the smoke and investigated. They contacted the Imperial convoy and tricked its commander into slowing down. Ezra then jumped down onto one of the troop transports and freed the farmers.

Stormtroopers rushed to arrest Ezra, who leapt from troop transport to troop transport. He was saved when Zeb arrived in the TIE, cannons blazing.

Ezra infiltrated the Imperial Academy, where he befriended Zare Leonis and Jai Kell. The three cadets took control of an AT-DP and fought their way out of the Academy, but a troop transport blasted their walker. Ezra and Jai fled, with Zare pretending to fire at the others so he could remain undercover in Imperial service.

On one mission the Lothal rebels tracked down Tseebo, an Imperial fugitive whose implant was filled with strategically valuable information. Desperate to get Tseebo and his data off-world, they stole an Imperial Troop Transport.

Commandant Aresko used another troop transport as part of a roadblock, but the rebels rammed their ITT through the barricade, continuing on their way.

Imperial soldiers on speeder bikes caught up with the rogue ITT and boarded the craft, but Kanan repelled the attack before they could seize Tseebo.

Agent Kallus caught up with the fleeting troop transport and tried to stop it, but was thwarted by a flurry of shots from the Ghost, which dove out of the skies to rendezvous with the craft.

When the rebels hijacked an Imperial communications tower to broadcast Ezra’s call to action, Imperial troops rushed to stop them in ITTs, leading to a confrontation between Kanan and the Inquisitor.
