Captain Bragg addresses the people of Raxus, suggesting they have not shown loyalty to the Empire. In the wings, Senator Avi Singh regretfully tells his droid, GS-8, that he has become "a puppet" for this new regime.
Cheers greet the senator as he comes to speak. Though he at first shows support for the Empire's new laws, Singh's tone soon changes and he calls the Imperial presence an "unjust occupation" before being hauled away. Shortly after, AT-TE walkers take the city center, but Singh's loyal droid secretly contacts someone for assistance.
On Ord Mantell, Cid briefs the Bad Batch on their new mission: to liberate Senator Avi Singh. Hunter, however, bristles at the idea of helping a Separatist. When Cid reminds him of his debt, he finally acquieces -- and reluctantly agrees to leave Omega behind so as not to bring her near Imperial troops.
The Bad Batch arrive at the rendezvous on Raxus, and find Singh's droid waiting. Meanwhile, Omega worries about the team and laments that she couldn't go with them, and takes exception when Cid suggests that she's "helpless."
The Bad Batch scout the Imperial stronghold. They first move to take out the surveillance system, along with patrolling troopers.
They sneak covertly through the streets until Tech finally patches into the security network, granting them access. Inside, with the help of GS-8, they make their way toward the senator.
At Cid's, Omega takes an interest in the dejarik game being played between Cid and her two most loyal patrons. Cid is surprised at Omega's gift for strategy, and asks if the young clone might be able to win a few matches for some money. Omega agrees -- for a 60 percent cut.
Captain Bragg speaks with Singh, expressing her disappointment in his actions. As an interrogation droid draws closer to the senator, the doors suddenly open and stun shots ring out. The Bad Batch and GS-8 have come to the rescue.
With their location compromised, the Bad Batch improvise a new exit strategy: they commandeer a walker!
But Bragg soon awakens from her stun and orders her troops to attack. They drive the Bad Batch from their walker for a time, but Tech is able to repair the machine.
Singh directs them to a subterranean passage and leads them through the tunnels.
They emerge in the city outskirts and run for the Marauder. Though Singh has reservations about leaving his people, the politician ultimately agrees. "Live to fight another day," Echo says.
Arriving back at Cid's, the Bad Batch find a packed house...with Omega sitting triumphantly at the dejarik table. "She's a natural," Cid says. When Hunter expresses worry about all the attention, Cid stops him: Omega has paid off their debt completely.
The young clone tells Hunter that she just wanted to feel useful. In return, Hunter offers a playful challenge: if she can beat him in dejarik, no more sitting out on missions. They both grab a seat and start to play.
