The Mandalorian and the Child enter an underground arena and meet with gangster Gor Koresh. The bounty hunter hopes to learn the location of another of his kind; it takes persuading, but Koresh ultimately reveals that a Mandalorian has been seen on Tatooine.
The Mandalorian arrives on the desert world and connects with Peli Motto, who directs him to Mos Pelgo -- an old, mostly abandoned mining settlement.
The Mandalorian finds the Marshal, Cobb Vanth, who wears Mandalorian armor. But he is no Mandalorian. Vanth agrees to return the armor in exchange for help slaying a krayt dragon.
En route to the beast's cave, Vanth tells the story of the town and how he came to trade with Jawas for the armor.
Vanth and the Mandalorian encounter Tusken Raiders in a rocky canyon; although Vanth distrusts the Tatooine natives, the Mandalorian forms an alliance with the Sand People to kill the dragon.
The group finally reaches the creature's dwelling. Impossibly massive, it soon emerges. They decide to regroup and formulate a plan.
The Mandalorian volunteers Vanth's village as reinforcements. The townspeople initially bristle at the idea of fighting alongside Tuskens, but finally agree.
They lure the krayt from its hole and the beast unleashes a ferocious attack. But just when it seems their plan has failed...
...the Mandalorian improvises a solution.
Vanth returns the armor to the Mandalorian, and they bid each other farewell. "I hope our paths cross again," Vanth says, before the Mandalorian and the Child depart.
