A pair of biker scouts pass the time after snatching the Child, but their banter is interrupted by the arrival of IG-11. The reprogrammed nurse droid has come to rescue its charge.
While the Mandalorian, Greef Karga, and Cara Dune plan an escape through the sewers, Moff Gideon proposes a negotiation and displays a startling depth of knowledge about the trio, including the masked warrior's true name: Din Djarin.
"I know who he is," the Mandalorian says, as a flurry of images reveal the moment the warrior became an orphan and his subsequent rescue by Mandalorians.
Meanwhile, IG-11 speeds through the lava flats on a stolen speeder bike with the Child strapped to its metal chest, laying waste to stormtroopers stationed outside the public house. It's a distraction that gives Cara, Greef, and the Mandalorian a chance to join the fray.
After the shootout, they barely make it back to cover. Despite his protective beskar, the Mandalorian took concussive blows and his wounds are severe. He hands his mythosaur pendant to Cara so his fellow Mandalorians will help her.
Meanwhile, Moff Gideon sends an incinerator trooper into the public house to smoke out his prey. As flames lick every corner of the open room, it seems there will be no escape — until the Child intervenes.
Cara, Greef, and the Child make their escape, with IG-11 and the Mandalorian not far behind. When they arrive at the once-secret hideout of the Mandalorians, they find a pile of helmets. Only the Armorer remains.
Still calm and methodical, the Armorer forges the warrior's signet, etched in the image of a mudhorn skull. "You are a clan of two," she says, handing him a jetpack, his armor now complete.
Climbing into a keelboat, they make their escape on a lava river.
Finally, Moff Gideon arrives in a TIE fighter. Utilizing his jetpack for the first time, the Mandalorian rises to meet his enemy in the skies. Once the battle is done, the Mandalorian and the Child set off on their next adventure.
