Via recorded message, Greef Karga proposes that the Mandalorian return for one last job — taking out the Client and clearing his name with the Guild. If he succeeds, he can also keep the Child, but the plan involves using the baby as bait.
-
Back on Sorgan, the Mandalorian recruits Cara Dune for his mission.
-
The Mandalorian and Cara seek out Kuiil on Arvala-7. They're surprised to see IG-11, but the rancher explains that the former droid mercenary has been reprogrammed to serve more domestic functions on the farm.
-
The Mandalorian asks Kuiil to join his crew for the mission as the sworn protector of the Child. The rancher agrees, but refuses payment and insists the warrior must also accept the help of IG-11 on this quest.
-
Inside the Razor Crest, the crew and a small pack of blurrgs make their way to Nevarro.
-
In a remote field on the outskirts of town, the Mandalorian and his team rendezvous with Greef and his own personal security detail. As night falls, they make camp when suddenly a flock of reptavians emerge from the shadows. Greef is badly hurt in the ensuing melee.
-
The next day, Greef blasts his security detail dead without warning, then explains that the plan had been to betray the Mandalorian all along. After his life was spared, Greef couldn't go through with it.
-
After hatching a new plan, Greef returns to the city with the Mandalorian in binders and Cara acting the part of victorious hunter. A new pram floats nearby. But in the opposite direction, Kuiil beats a path back to the Razor Crest on the back of a blurrg, the Child safely swaddled in his arms.
-
The Client is pleased to see Greef and the bounty hunter who double-crossed him. While Greef stalls for time, claiming that the Child is asleep in the safety of his pram, the Client excuses himself to take an important call. On the comlink, Moff Gideon warns that something is awry before a deafening volley of blaster fire pierces the air, striking the Client and several nearby stormtroopers through the exterior wall of the public house.
-
Outside, a firing squad of death troopers and many more stormtroopers herald the arrival of Moff Gideon, surrounding the public house and pinning down the lone survivors inside. The Mandalorian urges Kuiil to hurry back to the ship and get himself and the Child to safety. But a pair of scout troopers on speeder bikes have been dispatched — and they are much faster than a blurrg.
