Migs Mayfeld works the scrap heaps of a New Republic prison junkyard. Cara Dune soon approaches, taking custody of the inmate and leading him to her ship, where the Mandalorian and his crew await. They'll need the ex-Imperial to use his knowledge of clearances and protocols to locate Grogu.

The Mandalorian wants the coordinates of Moff Gideon's ship, but Mayfeld explains that he'll need access to an internal Imperial terminal to recover that kind of data. He reveals, however, that there is a secret Imperial mining hub on Morac; if they can get him in there, he can locate the coordinates.

Upon arrival, the Mandalorian and Mayfeld comandeer a mining vehicle filled with highly explosive rhydonium and disguise themselves as troopers to get access to the base.

Without warning, pirates attack in an almost endless swarm. The Mandalorian and Mayfeld manage to hold them off and are greeted as heroes at the refinery.

Mayfeld quickly locates a terminal, but calls off the mission when he spots his former commanding officer: Valin Hess.

The Mandalorian refuses to leave and offers to secure the data, but the terminal requires a facial scan to access the network. Undeterred, he removes his helmet and locates Moff Gideon's coordinates.

But before they can leave, Hess approaches -- and invites the Mandalorian and Mayfeld to sit for a drink. Mayfeld brings up an old mission in which many of his friends and civilians were killed. The tension rises until, finally, he raises a blaster and shoots the Imperial.

The Mandalorian and Mayfeld blast their way to the roof, where they find Boba Fett's ship waiting. As they leave, Mayfeld, a former sharpshooter, blasts the rhydonium -- resulting in a fiery explosion.

Landing in the jungle outskirts, the crew regroups and Mayfeld prepares to return to prison. But Cara Dune has other ideas. "You know, it's too bad Mayfeld didn't make it out alive back there," she says to the Mandalorian. Mayfeld walks away, free.

Later, Moff Gideon receives a transmission from the Mandalorian, promising to reclaim Grogu. "Soon, he will be back with me," the armored warrior says.
