Security forces gather in the scorched forests of Corvus, awaiting an unseen enemy. Suddenly, a Jedi strikes from the shadows, wielding two white-bladed lightsabers. She cuts them down with ease.

The Jedi approaches the city gate. There, the ruthless Magistrate, Morgan Elsbeth, waits; the Jedi gives her one day to surrender and disclose the information she seeks.

Sometime later, the Mandalorian and the Child arrive on the planet and head toward town. The Magistrate's chief enforcer grants the Mandalorian entry upon learning he is a bounty hunter. He is summoned to a meeting with the Magistrate who offers the Mandalorian a deal. "A Jedi plagues me," she says. "I want you to kill her." In return, the Magistrate promises the warrior a spear made of pure beskar.

The Mandalorian and the Child venture to the forest. They seem alone, but the Jedi suddenly attacks! Holding her off just long enough, the Mandalorian speaks. "Ahsoka Tano!" he says. "Bo-Katan sent me. We need to talk." In that moment, Ahsoka sees the Child. "I hope it's about him," she replies.

Ahsoka sits with the Child for a time, silently communicating with him. She reveals that he is named Grogu, and he was raised at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. When the Empire rose to power, he was hidden.

Ahsoka tests Grogu in the morning. Though he displays knowledge of the Force, Ahsoka will not train him. Disappointed, the Mandalorian promises to help Ahsoka in her mission if she will see to it that Grogu is trained. "A Mandalorian and a Jedi?" Din Djarin says. "They'll never see it coming."

The attack begins, as Ahsoka destroys the border security. Once inside, the Magistrate comes to meet her; Ahsoka tosses one of the Mandalorian's pauldrons to the ground, claiming the bounty hunter failed. The army opens fire, driving Ahsoka away, and the Magistrate then orders all villagers destroyed.

The Mandalorian arrives and stops the soldiers from executing the townspeople, while Ahsoka eliminates the Magistrate's forces. Finally, the Mandalorian confronts the army's commander and Ahsoka challenges the Magistrate.

Following a tense standoff, the Mandalorian dispatches the enforcer. Meanwhile, Ahsoka bests the Magistrate in a duel, demanding to know the location of Grand Admiral Thrawn.

While the village celebrates, Ahsoka and the Mandalorian say their goodbyes. She gifts the beskar spear to the Mandalorian but still declines to train Grogu. Instead, Ahsoka suggests they go to the planet Tython to find the ancient ruins of a temple. If Grogu reaches out through the Force atop the temple's seeing stone, there is a chance a Jedi may sense his presence and come searching...
