Floor manager Kino Loy (Andy Serkis) continues to lead the dayshift in a section of the Narkina 5 prison, while inmate Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) becomes increasingly hellbent on the idea of escape. Rumors persist that the Imperial sentences, counting down in each inmate’s assigned bunk, are a fallacy. After another inmate, Ulaf (Christopher Fairbank), suffers a medical episode, Cassian and Kino learn the diabolical truth — they’re all serving a secret life sentence — and decide overpowering the meager guards to regain their freedom is their only option. On Coruscant, tensions mount as Mon Mothma (Genevieve O’Reilly) meets with her cousin, Vel Sartha (Faye Marsay), and her friend and ally Tay Kolma (Ben Miles) suggests Mon make a deal with a Chandrilan oligarch. And on Ferrix, Bix Caleen (Adria Arjona) is tortured by Doctor Gorst (Joshua James).
