Today, StarWarsShop launches the second in a limited edition portrait series by Lucas Online's own senior designer Craig Drake -- a stunningly stylized depiction of Twi'lek sisters Ann and Tann called "The Twins".

The first in the series, "The Princess", has since sold out, but shoppers quick to pick up "The Twins" will own one of just 200 pieces being produced exclusively for StarWarsShop and signed by the artist.

We asked Craig a few questions about this second entry in the series, and what the future might hold for more of these retro-styled Star Wars portraits:

First, what inspired the idea to go with the Twi'lek twins for your second in this stylized series of Star Wars portraits?

When choosing subjects for this series, the phrase "It's all in the eyes" goes through my head. The Twi'lek Twins really have that amazing [Patrick] Nagel gaze. I also loved the idea of surfacing some lesser-known characters -- although I'm pretty certain Ann and Tann are HUGE fan favorites! I'm hoping this illustration will spawn some energy to finally get their action figures made -- come on Hasbro!

Tell us about the costumes shown in your illustration -- they're a bit different than the ones we see Twi'leks wear in the movies.

They went through a few wardrobe changes, however the inspiration was always '80s work out gear. "The Princess" illustration stayed pretty true to her Episode V snow suit. This time around I was compelled to bring them out of universe a bit and dress them as if they were in an Olivia Newton John video.

Of the blue-skinned beauties, only the lip color survived -- how did you arrive at that decision?

I started out with blue skin true to the their on screen characters, but quickly made the change to a pale "kabuki" blue to fit the Nagel style I so love. As for the lips, they just had to stay the Twi'lek blue for contrast.

Speaking of lips -- for "The Princess" print, we got Leia's lips in a spot varnish ultra-gloss finish -- any similar surprises on this one?

Yes, lips do indeed get that special varnish hit... as well as one other special area on the print (insert laser sound here).

With "The Princess" now sold out and "The Twins" sure to follow, do you have any plans for a third?

The third Star Wars Craigel will be Padmé Amidala. It's a ripper of an iconic pose!
