Nothing says fashion victim (or hero) like a glitter iron-on T-shirt. If you were a child of the '80s, you probably wore at least one Star Wars T-shirt with the glitter representation of Chewbacca, C-3PO or even Darth Vader. These iron-ons were made by Factors, Etc. in the late '70s and early '80s for both Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back.
Before you could make your own fancy iron-on designs with your home computer, many malls were outfitted with custom T-shirt design stores where you could choose from hundreds of glitter iron-on designs of your favorite bands, TV shows and movies. Along with Star Wars it wasn't uncommon to see designs for The A-Team, Duran Duran, Fonzie and Snoopy.
