At the start of the episode, leaving Old Jho’s Pit Stop is a pair of Ugnaughts who probably should have departed a few rounds earlier.

The card game sabacc first appeared in the script to The Empire Strikes Back, though any mention of it was cut from the film. A trilogy of Lando Calrissian novels published in 1983 explained the mechanics of the card game.
-
In 1989, a playable set of sabacc cards was included in a roleplaying game module called Crisis on Cloud City. The designs of the cards seen in the episode were inspired by that set.
-
The object of sabacc is to get a hand that totals 23, which is what Zeb has. It can only be beaten by an Idiot’s Array (three cards that are a 0, a 2, and a 3).

Sabine is sitting on a speeder bike that was developed for the series as Kanan’s bike; he just hasn’t used it yet (he will, though).

Azmorigan was based on an early Ralph McQuarrie design for Jabba the Hutt developed for Return of the Jedi. James Hong, a veteran actor, plays Azmorigan. His role in "Idiot's Array" marks a return to Lucasfilm Animation, as Hong can be heard as a Sugi arms dealer in unfinished episodes of The Clone Wars. He can be seen in such films as Blade Runner and Big Trouble in Little China, and heard in Mulan and Kung Fu Panda.
