Actor Seth Green's appreciation for the Star Wars saga is forever cemented in his roles in the The Family Guy tributes Blue Harvest and Something Something Something Dark Side, as well as the Robot Chicken: Star Wars specials.

Now Green can add himself to the roster of actors who are part of Star Wars canon thanks to his new role as bounty hunter Cad Bane's techno-service droid Todo 360 in Season Two of The Clone Wars, The Rise of the Bounty Hunters.

StarWars.com chats with Green about playing a droid, why he thinks Cad Bane is a genuine bad guy and why he's excited for the next season of The Clone Wars.

How did it come about that you'd be voicing a little droid named Todo in the new season of The Clone Wars?

I think I just asked often enough and then they were like, yeah, let's do this.

Did you like the way he looked? He's been described as adorkable.

Really? Sweet. I don't know, I don't have a lot of romantic feelings towards droids.

When you daydreamed about being in the Star Wars canon, did you ever think you'd be on the bad guy's side? Or that you'd be playing a droid?

No. I always wanted to be a bounty hunter of some kind. That kind of lifestyle is appealing to me.

Do you consider Cad Bane a bad guy, or just a guy who wants to go with the highest bidder?

Isn't someone who goes with the highest bidder kind of a bad guy? The people who really need your help can't afford to pay.

Who would you entrust more with a covert operation -- Todo or Chris from The Family Guy?

Todo would probably have less room to mess it up. He'd probably be programmed pretty specifically and adhere to whatever the instructions were, whereas Chris has a lot of personal interpretation.

As a life-long Star Wars fan, what do you like about The Clone Wars?

It's really fun. It's well written. It's character-driven. And it asks a lot of questions I've been asking and then shows the answers to them. It talks about what it's like to be a soldier and to fight in something you don't necessarily believe in. All these moral, ethical and theological questions are getting raised, and it's also a kid's show. So it's kind of amazing.

How do you feel about the next season of The Clone Wars getting more complex and mature?

I watched Robotech and all of the Japanese cartoons when I was growing up and they were very heady and really mature. Characters died and heavy stuff happened, and I don't think it adversely affected me.

It seems like you're living quite a few dream-come-true moments as a fan -- are there any other Star Wars wishes on your bucket list?

No kidding, right? I'd love to get on the upcoming live action Star Wars TV show. I can't imagine anything perfect for me, but we'll see.

You never know, you could come back as another droid?

Ha!

Tune into Season Two of The Clone Wars to see Seth Green as Todo 360. The new season starts Oct. 2 with The Rise of the Bounty Hunters, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) on Cartoon Network.
