After Darth Vader’s Star Destroyer captured Princess Leia’s starship Tantive IV above Tatooine, stormtroopers blasted their way into the captive ship, cutting down her rebel defenders.

Stormtroopers secured the Tantive IV and searched for the stolen plans for the Death Star, but reported to Vader that no trace of them had been found in the ship’s main computer.

Obeying the Dark Lord’s orders, the stormtroopers tore apart the Tantive IV hunting for the plans, wiping out the remaining pockets of resistance and capturing the ship’s passengers, including Leia.

After the Death Star captured the Millennium Falcon, stormtroopers surrounded the beat-up freighter and searched her, but found no passengers. Han Solo then lured two troopers aboard, overcoming them and taking their armor for himself and Luke Skywalker.

Disguised as stormtroopers, Han and Luke took Chewbacca to the detention block where Leia was held captive. Their bluff failed to convince the guards and they opened fire instead, rescuing the princess before more stormtroopers arrived and trapped them on the prison level.

As alerts spread throughout the Death Star, stormtroopers searched for the rebel infiltrators who’d arrived on the Falcon. One squad arrived at the control room where C-3PO and R2-D2 were assisting their rebel friends, but the droids convinced the troopers they were Imperial units, and were allowed to depart.

The rebels fought running battles with the Death Star’s stormtroopers, with Luke and Leia trading shots with the Imperial soldiers across a deep trench.

The often-reckless Han pursued one squad of stormtroopers through the Death Star’s innards, but soon found himself badly outnumbered. The pursuer soon became the pursued.

After the Battle of Hoth, Vader arrived on Cloud City with squads of stormtroopers. One blasted C-3PO after the luckless droid discovered their hidden quarters, preventing the protocol droid from alerting his friends to the Empire’s trap. After Lando Calrissian brought Han, Leia and Chewbacca to Vader, stormtroopers cut off any chance that the rebels might escape.

Stormtroopers fought with Chewbacca and manhandled Han in Cloud City’s carbon-freezing chamber as Vader prepared to test the facility on Han before setting a trap for Luke.

Reneging on his deal with Lando, Vader decided to leave a garrison of stormtroopers behind on Cloud City. Accompanied by an Imperial officer, stormtroopers escorted Leia and Chewbacca to captivity aboard Vader’s Super Star Destroyer.

Lando had finally had enough, and signaled Cloud City’s soldiers to ambush the stormtroopers. The Bespin guards surrounded the stormtroopers and took them prisoner, freeing Leia and Chewbacca.

After Lando decided to switch sides, the rebels fought a running battle with Vader’s stormtroopers, evading their patrols and reaching the Falcon for a hasty getaway.

When Emperor Palpatine arrived at Endor to inspect the half-completed second Death Star, Darth Vader and ranks of stormtroopers awaited him. The troopers stood at attention to honor the galaxy’s ruthless ruler.

The rebels thought the shield generator on Endor was lightly guarded, but the Emperor had ordered an entire legion of stormtroopers to await their attack. They captured Han, Leia and Chewbacca before they could sabotage the battle station’s protective field.

The stormtroopers considered the forest moon’s Ewoks of little consequence – how could diminutive creatures with spears fight the Emperor’s shock troops? But the Ewoks knew the forests far better than the Empire did, and proved wily warriors. They ambushed the stormtroopers, kicking off a fight that could determine the fate of the galaxy.
