Draw General Pong Krell
Ever wanted to draw Star Wars
characters and vehicles just like the professional comic book artists? Star Wars
illustrator Grant Gould explains with these easy-to-follow steps how to draw General Pong Krell
on The Clone Wars
. Steps 1-5 are drawn lightly with pencil. No pen, no dark lines. Finished lines and details will come at the end.
YOU WILL NEED:
- Drawing pencil
- Colored pencils
- Colored pens
Drawing lightly with a pencil, create a simple framework. Take note of General Pong Krell's extra arms and massive feet.
Using the framework as a guide, flesh out his body shape now.
Lightly illustrate the outlines of Krell's outfit, as well as his lightsabers.
Add some skin pattern details, and also create the rough shapes for his head.
Now focus on the head. Take note of the unique placement of his eyes, the shape of his bulging neck, and his beard.
Add some final details, such as the lightsaber handles and the ridges on the top of his head. If something looks wrong to you, feel free to erase your pencil lines and try it again. Practice makes perfect! Once you're happy with how everything looks, go over your lines with pen, marker, or heavier pencil lines.
Color your drawing, too, if you prefer. It's completely up to you!
