Draw Jar Jar Binks

STEP ONE

Drawing lightly with a pencil, create a framework using basic shapes like circles and ovals to represent Jar Jar's knees, shoulders, elbows, etc.

STEP TWO

Use broad, simple strokes to give shape to his eyes, ears, body and clothing.

STEP THREE

Time to detail his clothing. Show the edges of his vest and shirt, as well as his pant legs.

STEP FOUR

Focus on his head and neck, adding in all the little details, and then flesh out the ridges on his big, floppy ears.

STEP FIVE

Now is the time to go in and add all the last-minute details, such as curves in musculature, folds in his clothes, and of course his toes and fingers.

STEP SIX

At this point, you should have a fairly detailed pencil drawing of Jar Jar Binks. Feel free to erase and redraw anything that looks a bit off. The advantage of using light pencil lines is that it makes it easy to change things during any step of the process. Practice makes perfect! Once you're happy with how your Gungan masterpiece looks, you can go over your lines with pen or marker, or heavier pencil lines.
