Celebration VI Artwork Prints: Set 4

Today we reveal the fourth set of Celebration VI exclusive artwork prints (see Set 1, Set 2, and Set 3), leaving just one more set to unveil from the entire series by 36 artists!

This year, Acme Archives will be offering pre-orders of the Celebration VI Art Show prints for the very first time. All pre-ordered prints must be picked up in person at Celebration and will not be shipped. Artists who will have their own booths outside of the Acme booth will also be offering pre-orders through their own websites, under the same terms. Pre-orders will begin after Comic-Con.

Select prints are available as pre-orders at Acme Archives' Dark Ink now through August 15th.

Joe Corroney has been providing Lucasfilm with official Star Wars artwork for books, games, trading cards, comic books, posters and magazines since 1997. Other comic books and licenses he's illustrated for include Star Trek, Indiana Jones, True Blood, GI Joe, Marvel Comics' The Avengers, Green Lantern, The Lord of the Rings, The Walking Dead, Heroes, Doctor WHO, Farscape and The Phantom. He's also developing his creator-owned comic book series, Death Avenger, and continuing to create new Star Wars artwork for Lucasfilm. Joe was the instructor for the Comic Book Illustration Course at the Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, Ohio for ten years and has taught the Ohio State University's Summer Comic Book Workshop as well. Please note, this artist is not in the Acme Archives section of the CVI Art Show and will handle their own pre-orders if they choose to offer them.

Halloween 1977. Mark McHaley makes a Darth Vader costume out of a cheap mask, sunglasses, a kazoo, electrical tape and LEGOs. Then he learned to draw. Known for his unique painting style through projects involving Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek and a variety of other properties, Mark enjoys spending his time off work.

Erik Maell has enjoyed a very diverse career freelancing as both a commercial illustrator and a fine artist. His work as an illustrator has included assignments for the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises, Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Topps Trading Card Company, Universal Studios, and Victoria's Secret Beauty Corporation. As a fine artist, he has shown his paintings in many solo and group exhibitions across the United States and in Europe.

Carlos Garzón was born in Bogotá, Columbia, in 1945. A self-taught artist, he has loved comics since childhood. In 1967, he created his own adventure comic strip, El Dago. His art samples eventually came to the attention of artist Al Williamson, who invited Garzón to work with him in New York. In 1970, Garzón became Williamson's assistant on the comic strip Secret Agent Corrigan, and soon found himself penciling and inking other "realistic style" comic strips, including Big Ben Bolt and Rip Kirby. As a team, Williamson concentrated on penciling and inking the figures while Garzón penciled and inked the detailed vehicles and backgrounds, a process that had them frequently passing pages back and forth between their drawing tables. Their collaborations include the comic book adaptations of The Empire Strikes Back, Blade Runner, and Return of the Jedi. A versatile cartoonist, Garzón also drew many Flash Gordon and Bugs Bunny stories for Gold Key comics. He lives in Florida.

Doug Wheatley has been working on various Star Wars publications with Randey Stradley of Dark Horse Comics, for about ten years, his other clients include Marvel, DC, Warner Bro., Acclaim, Image, 20th Century Fox and Black Bull comics. His works include Superman, Batman, Aliens, Conan, Blade the Vampire, Hunter, X-Men, Wolverine, The Punisher, and The Hulk. Doug has also worked as a storyboard artist on the movie Superman Returns (2006) (uncredited).

Doug's books are published in several languages around the globe. Doug had his first European signing at the Virgin Record Store in Paris, France and continues to travel to comic conventions in Europe and North America. Doug was nominated for a Harvey Award in 1997 and for a Joe Shuster Award in 1007. Doug was awarded the Toulousse, "People's Choice Award" in 2012, in France.

Brian Rood is a professional illustrator working in the entertainment, comic and commercial art fields. Brian has established an international fan base as well as an impressive client list featuring Lucasfilm Ltd., Hasbro, Disney, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures, Acme Archives Direct, EA games, Topps and Upperdeck Card companies, IDW Publishing, Marvel Comics, Image Comics and many others. He has contributed to all forms of the collectible Star Wars universe. From dozens of Fine Art creations for Acme Archives to over 100 illustrations for the Star Wars /Hasbro toy line packaging. Recently Brian's artwork was used on the Star Wars Blu-ray packaging and Star Wars Valentine's Day candy mugs. Brian spends the better part of the year focusing on the many Star Wars accounts that he regularly works on. This is Brian's 6th featured artwork in the Celebration art shows. Brian, along with Chris Trevas, created all the promotional and badge artwork for the Celebration event this year. Chris Trevas been creating Star Wars artwork since 1995 for many Lucasfilm licensees including Random House, DK Publishing, becker&mayer!, Haynes Publishing, Scholastic, Golden Books, and Topps. He has illustrated numerous books including four in the Star Wars Essential Guide series (The New Essential Guide to Alien Species, Jedi vs. Sith: The Essential Guide to the Force, The Essential Atlas, and the upcoming Essential Reader's Companion). Chris Trevas and fellow artist Chris Reiff are the illustration team behind such technical works as the Star Wars Blueprints series from DK, 3-D Star Wars board books from Scholastic, and the Haynes Millennium Falcon Owner's Workshop Manual. Chris also created this year's Celebration artwork together with Brian Rood.
