First 10 Celebration VI Artwork Prints Revealed

Today we are delighted to reveal the first 10 limited edition artwork prints that will be available exclusively at Star Wars Celebration VI this August! As mentioned in our original announcement, 36 different artists have been selected to offer these exclusive prints at Celebration VI, which we will be revealing in the coming weeks.

In addition, Acme Archives will be offering pre-orders of the Celebration VI Art Show prints for the very first time. All pre-ordered prints must be picked up in person at Celebration and will not be shipped. Artists who will have their own booths outside of the Acme booth will also be offering pre-orders through their own websites, under the same terms. Pre-orders will begin after Comic-Con.

Jerry Vanderstelt has enjoyed a great working relationship with Lucasfilm for 15 years, having produced many Star Wars and Indiana Jones artworks for Acme Archives, Topps, Scholastic and Hasbro. As a commercial artist, Jerry has produced bookcover artwork for various sci-fi and fantasy publishers such as Ace, Roc, Pocket and Scholastic books, as well as the Franklin Mint, The Bradford Exchange, Vivendi/Universal Games, and Capital One Bank. Jerry also works with Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema in the creation of licensed reproductions for his The Lord of the Rings and upcoming The Hobbit Fine Art Program.

Tom Hodges originally hails from Cherry Hill, NJ (just across the bridge from Philadelphia, PA), and spent most of his young life drawing Darth Vader. This led to his first official Star Wars commission in 2003, and many Star Wars projects later, Tom is working on two of his own creations: the comic MIDKNIGHT (co-created with his wife, Terri) for Red 5 Comics and his web comic "The Adventures of Rhiannon Ryder", which will debut online later this year. Tom currently resides at Disneyland (well... VERY close to it) with his wife Terri and their Furry Children (Tom will be found at The Art of Ralph McQuarrie Booth and various signings). Please note, this artist is not in the Acme Archives section of the CVI Art Show and will handle their own pre-orders if they choose to offer them.

Born in 1984, Jeff Confer had to wait nine years to be properly introduced to Star Wars by seeing the Original Trilogy for the first time in theaters during the Special Edition re-release. While attending the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, he began his freelance art career by designing concert fliers. Since then he has done numerous commissioned illustrations and completed sketch card sets for Topps, Rittenhouse Archives, and Bad Axe Studios. Recently he collaborated on the illustration and packaging design for the cancer benefit album, Electronic Saviors Industrial Music to Cure Cancer Vol. II, for Metropolis Records and Distortion Productions. Jeff currently resides in Huntsville, Alabama, with his fiance and co-artist, as well as their two cats.

Mark McKenna is a long time comic artist and inker, having worked on nearly 500 titles and 8,000 pages of art. Recently, he's worked on various Star Wars projects for Dark Horse Comics, beginning with the Star Wars: Purge one-shot. Since then, he has been involved with the bi-weekly 12-part web-comic Star Wars: The Old Republic: Blood of the Empire as well as The Old Republic: The Lost Suns mini series.

Tim Proctor has been a huge Star Wars fan since the release of A New Hope back in 1977. He discovered his passion for art around the age of three and later earned his BFA from the Memphis College of Art. Since then he has been working as a freelance illustrator and designer. He is excited to once again be a part of the Star Wars Celebration Art Show after creating a print for Star Wars Celebration V back in 2010. In addition to the Celebration Art Show, Tim also created a custom helmet for the "As You Wish" helmet project as well as limited edition sketch cards to be given out at the 501st bash during the event. To date, Tim has worked on seven Star Wars sketch card sets as well as many other properties including Bettie Page, Night of the Living Dead, Mars Attacks, Nevermore Alice and much more.

Jan Duursema studied art and storytelling at the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art and has been illustrating comics ever since. Captured by Star Wars from the moment she saw her first Star Destroyer, Duursema has illustrated for Star Wars: Republic, Star Wars: Darth Maul, Star Wars: Republic: Clone Wars as well as the movie adaptation for Attack of the Clones. She has also helped to develop stories for Star Wars: Legacy and Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi. Star Wars inspired 5-year-old Stephen Hayford to embrace his creativity in 1977. Kenner action figures then transformed and cultivated his love of storytelling through roleplay. While Stephen's passion and visual creativity eventually led him into a career of photojournalism, his love of toys never vanished. Stephen began using his documentary sensibilities to photograph action figures in custom-made dioramas during the late 1990's. The work began as a cathartic exercise -- it's now become the focus of his fine art.
