While stranded on Abafar, D-Squad’s Colonel Meebur Gascon was forced to eat refuse discarded by Gregor, a dishwasher working at a diner. To Gascon’s amazement, he recognized that the dishwasher was a Republic clone.
-
Gascon tried to order Gregor to help D-Squad, but the bedraggled man was baffled – he had no idea what a clone was. He asked the diner’s owner, Borkus, about his origins, but the Sullustan just told him to stop asking questions.
-
D-Squad followed Gregor to his shabby apartment, where the dishwasher was astonished to learn there were other people in the galaxy who looked exactly like him. Gregor told Gascon that he’d awakened on a crashed transport with no memory of how he got there.
-
R2-D2 scanned the identifying chip in Gregor’s wrist and discovered he was clone CC-5576-39, captain of an elite commando squad reported missing in action at the Battle of Sarrish.
-
R2-D2’s discovery shook loose some of Gregor’s memories. He vaguely recalled a defeat and many clone casualties. Determined to get his old life back, he shaved his beard and trimmed his hair. He then confronted Borkus and retrieved his clone armor.
-
Relying on muscle memory and his implanted training, Gregor donned his armor and helped D-Squad seize a Republic shuttle being loaded with rhydonium by Separatist droids. The shuttle escaped, but Gregor vanished in an enormous explosion below.
-
Years after the Clone Wars on the planet Seelos, Gregor lived on a modified AT-TE with his fellow clone troopers Rex and Wolffe. When a group of rebels including the Jedi Kanan Jarrus showed up, Gregor was quick to draw his rifle in defense.
-
Gregor agrees along with Captain Rex to provide the Ghost crew with a list of coordinates to a safe base location, but they refuse to aid in their battle against the Empire.
-
Gregor has another idea in mind. In order to catch the famous “Big Bongo” or giant joopa, he gets the crew to agree to donating Zeb for the cause.
-
Unbeknown to the Ghost crew, Gregor planned to use Zeb as the joopa bait, not the hunter, angering Kanan when the truth is revealed. It didn't seem to bother the crazed Gregor who remained focused on his main goal: the Big Bongo.
-
The hunting trip was successful, and Gregor gleefully helps Zeb out of the slimey goo of the joopa. He invites the crew to dinner to enjoy the fruits of their labor.
-
The excitement of Gregor’s success is quickly stifled when it is discovered that a probe droid has located the crew due to Wolffe’s hasty decision to inform the Empire.
