A large part of that allure is the level of detail and effort that went into the design of each card -- the artwork is breathtaking. Designed by veterans of the digital card game world, Sony Online Entertainment Denver, veteran artists were given subjects, and let loose in the Star Wars mythos.
What they created is some of the best high-concept art a game has seen in years. With dozens of artists taking hold of iconic moments like Luke climbing into his X-wing or the mighty rancor out on prowl, each of these cards captures incredible moments from the films as well as creates new icons for us to enjoy.
These cards, however, are not simply for digital duels, but some also serve a purpose within the Galaxies world. Labeled "Loot" cards, these are emblazoned with items within the game world in stunning detail and reward the bearer with the appropriate item. With some amazingly rare items that are highly sought after (Sith Speeder, anyone?), it's no question the game is worth a look.
