Alignment: Dark side
Height: 1.8 meters (5'11")
Weight: 77.1 kilograms (170 lbs)
Appearances: A relatively new character, he has appeared in Soulcalibur III and IV
Whoa: He can't die and yet he must! Now there's drama. It's nearly impossible to guage how old Zasalamel is. Throughout history there have been images of ancient harbingers of death carrying a scythe that are almost certainly incarnations of this warrior.
Objectives: Having uncovered the secrets of immortality, Zasalamel has lost all joy to life and seeks to end his own. Only the Soul Edge is powerful enough to finally grant him death.
Weapons: Kafziel, a great scythe that bears the name of an ancient Angel of Death.
Tips and Tricks: Zasalamel fights quite unlike any other combatant. He comes equipped with a vast suite of multi-hit attacks that snag enemies and drag them close on contact. Many of his attacks are unsafe from retaliation if guarded. However, the unusual, staggered nature of many of his strikes means that he's difficult to defend against, and he scores counter-hits during built-in gaps in his sequences. Zasalamel's sweet spots, though, are his attacks from mid-range.
Star Wars Grudge Match We'd Like to See: For superficial resemblances alone, Mace Windu would make a worthy opponent. But for sheer tenacity and inability to die, we kind of want to bring the alien bounty hunter Durge back for another fight.
