The Emperor has joined Darth Vader on the second Death Star to lure Luke Skywalker to the dark side of the Force. He will use all his power to try and seduce the young Jedi, and, if Skywalker cannot be turned, he will destroy him.

Yoda welcomes Luke's return to Dagobah to complete his training, although the Jedi Master's years have caught up to him since their last meeting. Before Luke leaves, Yoda provides Luke with the identity of his father and a tantalizing secret about the Skywalker family.

Wicket the Ewok is one of the short, bear-like native inhabitants of Endor, a forest moon which currently harbors a shield generator protecting the Empire's second Death Star. He will befriend Princess Leia and rally his fellow Ewoks to join the Rebel ground assault against the Imperial forces on Endor.

The vile gangster Jabba the Hutt, who takes cruel pleasure in displaying the frozen body of Han Solo on his palace wall, foils a plot by Luke, Leia and the others to free their friend. While Leia is to remain Jabba's personal captive, the Hutt sentences Luke and Han to a slow death in the stomach of the Sarlacc, a great desert beast with a gaping toothy maw.

The forest moon of Endor orbits a gas giant, and possesses enormous trees and an abundance of plant and animal life, including the Ewoks. Endor is also home to the Empire's new shield generator, which protects the second Death Star from the moon's surface.

Under construction, the second Death Star threatens to give the Empire the ability to destroy a planet -- a threat the Rebel Alliance thought had been extinguished with the destruction of the first Death Star.

In addition to being the homeworld of Luke Skywalker, Tatooine is also the planet from which Jabba the Hutt controls his vast criminal network. The vile gangster holds the frozen Han Solo captive in his palace, and Luke, Leia and the others travel to Tatooine to negotiate his release.

Princess Leia has become a respected leader in the Rebel Alliance. She will venture to Tatooine to free Han Solo from the clutches of Jabba the Hutt, journey to the forest moon of Endor to disable the shield generator protecting the Empire's second Death Star, and learn a truth about her heritage that is both empowering and terrifying.
