Colonel Meebur Gascon has survived The Void with his mind intact, and is now focused on delivering the Separatist encryption module to the Republic. But leaving Abafar will require some clever strategy, as the town is patrolled by Separatist droids.

Once a veteran clone commando thought lost at the Battle of Sarrish, Gregor suffered from amnesia and has been quietly working as a dishwasher on Abafar, unaware of the galactic conflict that needs his service.

The overbearing proprietor of a greasy diner in Pons Ora, Mr. Borkus discovered the injured Gregor and nursed him back to health. But rather than be motive by altruism, Borkus has essentially enslaved Gregor as a menial laborer.

Mysteriously guarded by Separatist droids is a Republic attack shuttle, outfitted with an enlarged cargo-carrying module. This is D-Squad's ticket back to the Republic -- if they can get to it in one piece.

Now a corporal, WAC-47 is eager to return to his primary function: pilot. His batteries need a recharge, though.

R2-D2 tirelessly continues the mission. While Colonel Gascon and WAC-47 depart to recharge, R2-D2 leads recon patrols through the dusty streets of Pons Ora with the rest of D-Squad.

The streets of Pons Ora are patrolled by battle droids, who are guard a captured Republic shuttle. What they intend to do with this ship may be part of the mysterious Separatist plot that the Republic has been desperate to decode.
