The Republic and Gungan forces have been captured by Riff Tamson and his Karkarodon enforcers. Now, it is up to Ahsoka and the young Prince Lee-Char to unite the fractured people of Mon Cala and drive out the Separatist invaders.
Determined to unite his people, Prince Lee-Char does the unthinkable and turns himself in to the evil Riff Tamson. Tamson hopes to kill the prince and thus snuff out out any hope of rebellion. The prince has come to recognize his value as a symbol.
Riff Tamson goaded the Quarren into war against their world-mates, the Mon Calamari, by promising them an opportunity to seize power. Now, after his successful campaigns, he begins to show his true colors. He cares nothing for Quarren independence -- he only seeks control of the planet himself.
To get the Jedi to reveal the location of the prince, Riff Tamson targets his captive Senators. With his mighty jaws, Tamson cracks Senator Amidala's breathing helmet, causing a trickle of water to seep in that will soon drown her.
Kit Fisto is held captive by Riff Tamson, who does not underestimate the Nautolan's underwater abilities. Fisto is bound in a containment cage lined with dangerous electric eels that shock him with every prod of a Karkarodon guard's spear.
The mission to Mon Cala has turned sour, and Anakin feels powerless to stop the tide of misfortune. Held captive by Riff Tamson, he watches helplessly as Padmé is threatened and later, as Ahsoka and Prince Lee-Char surrender themselves to the enemy. Skywalker must trust in the resourcefulness of his friends, however.
