When the king of Mon Cala is assassinated, talks break down between the Mon Calamari people and the Quarren, co-inhabitants of the aquatic world. To stop a civil war, the Republic sends Padmé Amidala and Anakin Skywalker, but unbeknownst to them, the Quarren are already being backed by the Separatists. Now the Jedi must protect Mon Cala's new leader, the young Prince Lee-Char, from the attack.
Captain Ackbar is the leader of the Mon Calamari Guard and the chief military adviser to the crown, even if that crown is worn by the young and inexperienced Prince Lee-Char. When Separatist troublemaker Riff Tamson began advising the Quarren to take up arms, Ackbar requested an envoy from the Republic come to Mon Cala to help steer the troubled planet away from an inevitable war.
The heir to the throne of Mon Calamari, Prince Lee-Char carries the watery world on his shoulders following the tragic and mysterious death of King Yos Kalina. The Separatists have been fanning undercurrents of unrest among the Quarren, and now Prince Lee-Char must deal with his world nearing the brink of war.
As an aquatic being, Kit Fisto finds himself at home in the waves of Mon Cala. He requires no special underwater survival gear, and leads the clone reinforcements consisting of Commander Monnk and his troops into battle.
The home planet of both the Mon Calamari people and the Quarren, the beautiful ocean planet is on the brink of war. The Separatists are pushing the Quarren to demand one of their own lead the planet, even though control of the monarchy rightfully belongs to the young Prince Lee-Char.
A fierce Karkarodon, Riff Tamson has come on to Mon Cala behalf of the Separatists to assist the Quarren in their bid for sovereignty. Tamson does not have the best interests in the Quarren in mind. The ravenous rabble-rouser seeks conflict and conquest.
A more gregarious lot than their isolationist world-mates, the Mon Calamari have sought to extend beyond the oceans of their world and become part of the larger galactic community.
Anakin Skywalker dons underwater gear to protect Senator Padmé Amidala on her diplomatic mission to help stem the tide of war between the Mon Calamari and the Quarren. Anakin is pragmatic when it comes to the battle, and he advises that Prince Lee-Char should skip the heroics and concentrate instead on survival.
The hard-working and proud Quarren prefer keeping to themselves, and resent the Mon Calamari involvement in galactic affairs. This has long been a source of tension between the two aquatic people of Mon Cala.
Strange techno-organic weapons from Karkaris, these immense cyborg jellyfish are unleashed into the oceans of Mon Cala on the command of Riff Tamson.
