Details
Description
Protecting the skies and space around Naboo is the N-1 starfighter. Its sleek design exemplifies the philosophy of art and function witnessed throughout Naboo technology. Its twin radial J-type engines are capped in gleaming chrome and trail long delicate-looking finials behind the ship's single-pilot compartment. Behind the pilot sits a standard astromech droid, plugged into an abbreviated, ventrally-fed socket which requires the droid to compress slightly in order to fit within the vessel's curves. The fighter features twin blaster cannons, twin fire-linked torpedo launchers, and a capable automatic pilot feature.

Ric was an excellent fighter pilot and led Bravo Flight into combat against the droid forces of the Trade Federation during the blockade of his home planet.
Naboo
Naboo is a peaceful world protected by volunteer security forces. During the Trade Federation siege of the planet, Naboo starfighters soared high above the planet to destroy the Droid Control Ship commanding the invading army below.
Anakin Skywalker
Nine-year-old Anakin Skywalker took cover in the cockpit of an unattended Naboo N-1 starfighter during the Trade Federation invasion and saw himself inadvertently whisked into the heart of the battle to liberate the planet by the ship's autopilot.
Padmé
Amidala
During her time as a Senator, Padmé Amidala would travel incognito with a handmaiden as a decoy. She would pilot a Naboo starfighter, flying escort to her own Senatorial vessel.
R2-D2
As an astromech droid, R2-D2 was built to fit in the slim socket at the back of a Naboo starfighter. He has flown as on-board repair and navigation droid for both Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala.
vulture droid
The elegant Naboo N-1 starfighters flew against the vulture droids during the battle to liberate the peaceful planet from the invading Trade Federation. At the time, the vulture droids were coordinated from a Droid Control Ship, and the destruction of the central battleship shut down the vultures.
