Description
A gargantuan heavy cruiser, the Malevolence is known for its immense ion cannons, which became a dire threat to the Republic fleet early in the Clone Wars. The cruiser's deadly two-step attack begins with knocking out the power systems of a target vessel with its primary weapon. Then the cruiser finishes off the defenseless spacecraft with blasts from its secondary laser cannons and turbolaser batteries.

Relationships
Anakin Skywalker
Anakin Skywalker was determined to find the Malevolence and bring an end to its destructive rampage. After the ship was crippled by a Y-wing bomber attack, Anakin boarded the vessel and hotwired its hyperdrive to malfunction and propel the ship into a dead moon.
General Grievous
Count Dooku entrusted the Malevolence to General Grievous' command. Grievous destroyed dozens of Republic warships, taking care to also destroy any escape pods to leave no survivors.
Plo Koon
Plo Koon's flagship, Triumphant, was destroyed by the Malevolence, leaving only the Jedi Master and the clone troopers Wolffe, Sinker and Boost as survivors.
Republic attack cruiser
The ion blast from the Malevolence could cripple the electronic and power systems aboard a Republic attack cruiser. A task force including the Resolute and Negotiator chased the Malevolence, damaging it severely.
Y-wing fighter
Anakin Skywalker led a group of Y-wing starfighters -- Shadow Squadron -- in tracking down and attacking the Malevolence.
