Description
Small wedge-shaped one-man starfighters, these vessels were used by the Jedi Order in the last days of the Galactic Republic. While the ship does employ weapons, most Jedi pilots preferred to rely on their cunning and connection to the Force to avoid disputes and aggression.
With the outbreak of the Clone Wars, the Jedi saw themselves pressed into the forefront of military activity, serving as generals in the campaign against the Separatists. The demands of combat saw advancements in the Jedi starfighter arsenal, resulting in modifications and a new generation of fighter craft.

Relationships
Anakin Skywalker
Anakin Skywalker was one of the best pilots in the Jedi Order. He piloted a yellow starfighter in such notable space battles as the ones over Bothawui, Sullust and Coruscant.
Obi-Wan Kenobi
Obi-Wan Kenobi hated to fly, but he was a capable pilot. He flew a red Jedi starfighter, assisted by his trusty astromech droid R4-P17.
Plo Koon
Plo Koon flew a blue and white Jedi starfighter initially given to him by Anakin Skywalker. He piloted the Delta fighter on engagements in the Ryndellia system, over Felucia and Cato Neimoidia.
Ahsoka Tano
Ahsoka Tano led the clone trooper Blue Squadron in a Jedi starfighter in an effort to break the blockade over Ryloth, with disastrous results. Ahsoka's overconfidence led her into a Separatist trap, and she lost most of her squadron.
R2-D2
R2-D2 served as Anakin Skywalker's astromech droid throughout the Clone Wars, and was situated within the droid socket of his Jedi starfighter. R2-D2 was briefly lost during the Battle of Bothawui when Skywalker's fighter was blasted by Separatist forces.
